replaced Idler pulley and bearing
Removed the front of the dryer. Took out the drum. Now everything inside is easy to get to. You do not need to remove the top. Upon inspection we found that we also needed to replace both felts, teflon guides, drive belt, and both support rollers ans shafts. Basically we rebuilt the dryer. It's quiet now and working like new.

Male end of door catch broke
First, I replaced the male end which was just two screws and simple replacement of pushing the fastener into the door frame. When finished I noticed the female end was damaged as well. Glad the female part came as well. This required taken off the front trim around the door (four screws - 2 each side) and then the door. The installing of the female end was easy with a little push. The damaged female end was already hanging out so easy to grab and remove. Otherwise I would have had to remove the front panel. Note You need to put the door trim back on before reattaching the door.

screeching noises
I followed the steps in the partselect videos and it was pretty easy. A small adjustable wrench was a lot easier to use than the needle nose pliers recommended in the video. The metal bearing inside the wheel on the idler lever turned out to be the main cause of the problem. It had worn a lot and more on one side than the other so the wheel was wobbling back and forth. However, the belt was clearly deteriorating as well, so I'm glad I replaced it. The glides were thin but serviceable, but also very easy to replace. I also replaced the two wheels in the back of the machine that support the drum. Probably did not need to do that.

Constant Screeching
I search on the Internet to troubleshoot. I began to disassemble the unit with information I gathered from other websites. I checked the idler lever and knew indeed that was the screeching culprit. Once, I figured out the parts I would need to do a thorough job (idler lever, 2drum support rollers, multi-rib belt), I searched for parts and came upon partselect.com. I got more thorough review via the partselect videos on how to replace everything and put it back together. If I knew about this site and the detailed videos it provides for each part I ordered, I would have saved myself at least 1.5 hours from the reasearch and disassembling time. I followed the videos and only asked for backup help when I was putting the new belt around the idler lever. Hearing the dryer run again without the screeching was such a relief!

Loud squeaky sound, screeching, rumbling
Followed the instructive videos on this site. Purchased more repair items than I thought I might need since I wasn't sure what I'd find. Turned out the drum support rollers were fine so I didn't remove them. Problem was a failed bearing on the idler pulley lever. Replaced that and the belt (for good measure). Returned what parts I didn't use. Thanks PartSelect!!

idler lever wheel broke and belt worn(little)
I did repair as video had shown. it was a challenge I prefer not to persue, with having no professional mechanical background. The repair was a sucess and with only a 60.00 charge for parts and 1 day shipping I would do it again.I have the origonal belt for backup if new one breaks in future.Duane

My dryer wasnt turning
I noticed my dryer wasnt turning so I decided to take it apart to see if I could fix it, I noticed my belt was almost to the breaking point and there was black dust everywhere. I looked at the idler pulley wheel and it didnt look right so i decided to replace that, the belt and noticed the felt pads were gone also and that can also effect the dryer turning so I replaced them also and put it all back together and it was working like it was brand new!
