My start knob just spins and will not start the dryer. I believe someone may have pushed the button to hard and broke the clip. It happened before not long after we bought it. Is replacing this part the correct solution? My understanding from the original service tech is that this is a very common problem with this dryer.

Hi Henriette, Thank you for your question. We suggest testing the shift actuator. To test to see which part is causing the issue, you will need to use a multimeter. Here is a link to one of our videos on YouTube that you may reference on how to use one. We hope this helps!

Hi Randy, thank you for your question. There are a few parts that you could check for this issue. You may want to take a look at your lid latch. You may also want to take a look at the control board itself being the issue. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.

Why does washer begin to fill with wash water and goes right into rinse
For model number atw4676bq1
PartSelect logo
Hello and thank you for writing. The water inlet valve on your washing machine is used to fill the tub with cold, warm or hot water for the wash and rinse cycles. The valve is operated by electric solenoids that are controlled by the timer or electronic control board and the water level control/water level selector switch or pressure switch. If your washer continues to fill during a drain cycle, the water inlet valve could be at fault. To verify that the valve is at fault, unplug the washer when the symptom occurs. If the washer continues to fill, then the inlet valve PS11757114 is defective. If the washer stops filling, then the problem is related to the electrical circuit board PS9864702 that controls the valve. We hope this helps. Please contact us anytime if you require further assistance.
