First off I had no idea how a fridge worked or where to begin and the troubleshooting section of the manual was a joke. So I took the back panel off made sure the coils underneath were clean. Took out the back panel of the freezer and made sure that nothing was frozen over and I hadn't seen excess water on the floor so ruled that out. I knew the condenser was still running so I took a shot in the dark. Ordered the part and waited for it to arrive. It took me 3 minutes to open the box and install it. Immediately knew it was working replaced the back panel and moved the fridge back.

I got online, found the parts,, ordered them and received them in two days. Surprise! They were the correct parts too! I am not a fix it person but I replaced the parts with one little tool from my pink tool kit! I did it in less than 20 minutes! No instructions either. I was initially disgusted though, because my refrigerator is only 3 years old! For $1700 you would think things would last a little longer.

It was very simple taking every thing out and putting new part in. I figure if I had to call a repair person it would have ended up costing us probably around $300.00. We only paid $21.00. We thank you.

The tab that holds the cover to the crisper drawer breaks

  • Customer: Robert from Orland Park IL
  • Difficulty: A Bit Difficult

This id the 3rd time the tab on the end cap has broken, it is a weak and poorly designed part. So I modified it. Took drawer out, took glass shelves out, removed end caps from both sides. Put a 1 5/8 inch drywall screw into the back of the tab that holds the drawer cover. Screwed it in so that the head of the screw was just a short distance from the refrigerator side, then re-installed the end cap. Hopefully this screw will keep the tab from bending back too far and breaking again.

Meat drawer cover hinge broke

  • Customer: Robert from Kingsport TN
  • Difficulty: Really easy

  • Tools Required: Screw drivers

The nipple on the "Pantry End Cap - Left Side" that acted as part of the hinge for the meat drawer cover broke off. After receiving the replacement Pantry End Cap, I removed the meat drawer, removed the 2 vegetable bins, removed the glass shelf above the meat drawer, removed the screws holding the old Pantry End Cap, and pulled the old Cap out. Then I put the new Cap in place, screwed it in, and replaced everything else. The most surprising part of all of this is that I ordered my part on 4/22 and received and installed it on 4/25; 3 days! Thank you PartSelect for your fast response.
