My ice make quit working
I called my nephew and begged him to come install the new ice maker. It came will everything needed. I cleaned the freezer out and washed everything down and that took longer than Jonathan replacing the ice maker. Super easy. I had him watch the repair video and it took him about 15 minutes.

Ice tray coating flaking off into ice.
Removal of the Ice Maker required the removal of only one screw from underneath the maker and the power connector disconnect. Dis-assembly was straight forward. Remove old tray and heater, and reassemble with new tray and heater unit. Reinstall Ice Maker! Special Note: Allow the Ice Maker time to cycle through it's sequences. It may take a period of time before it starts producing ice after re-installation.

burned oven bulb
The hardest part was taking out original light bulb because screws on shield where hard to unscrew after all this years . The old bulb vent out leaving neck in socket. It took narrow electrical pliers to get neck out .The generic appliance bulb did not fit and had aluminum neck ,not recommended for brass sockets in ovens.Putting new light bulb in was not the problem.

Tab on right end cap broken
Removed vegetable drawers, glass top and two metal guards. Unhook clips on deli drawer slide brackets, then removed drawer. Removed two 5/16 hex head screws, unsnapped temp controlbracket at rear of ref. Removed end cap & temp bar. Removed slide, 2 - 5/16 hex head screws hold this on and temp control from old part, which unsnaps. Install these on new part. Reassemble end cap in frig. and all drawers as removed. Set Temp control to desired temp. I think this tab should be made of a more heavier material, as you can see this part breaks quite frequently.

Ice maker had a leak and was putting wter in ice tray
I simply removed 3 nut head screews and the old unit came off. I removed the ice level arm off the old unit and put on the new one. I removed the old wire harness and plugged into the new unit. I mounted the new unit, plugged it in and was done. I had ice in less than an hour. So simple my 11 year old could have done it without help.

Ice maker just stopped working
I removed the two screws that hold the ice maker door. I then removed the single screw on the right underside of the ice maker. I depressed the plastic "catch" on the left underside of the assembly and the whole thing just pulled straight out. I then disconnected the wire harness.

The module cover is removed, then the module itself is easily removed by removing three screws.
The assembly is just as easy.

A few hours later, I had a half bucket of ice!

Small piece broke off
After removing the shelving in the refrigerator to access the pantry slide out panel I removed the metal sliding rails that the pantry drawer rides on and put them aside. I then used s 1/4" hex socket screw driver and removed the 3 screws holding the part in place. After wiping the area of any moisture from the humidity on the plastic I screwed the new part in place and then attached the sliding rails and replaced all the draws I had removed ealier. Total time was no more than 15 minutes!

Broke the pivot stud for the pantry drawer door
Removed the vegetable drawers, then the glass shelf over the pantry drawer, removed the pantry drawer to expose the right hand end cap. Removed the end cap and removed the moisture control mechanism, re-attached the moisture control mechanism to the new end cap, replaced the end cap, shelf and drawers. The hardest part was figuring out how to remove the moisture control mechanism from the old end cap. You have to slide it to the back of the end cap to pop it loose from the end cap, rotate the mechanism to allow the actuator to be removed from the moisture control thumb slide.

No water to Inside water dispenser
Removing the valve assy. was easy, a few screws and it is off. Disconnecting the tubing was difficult. Not knowing how the tubes were affixed to the valve was a problem. Also, not easy. After getting the new valve installed. It was an easy matter to REPLACE the valve on the water pipe that was defective. If you read that right, my whole problem was the saddle valve in the basement that was the problem. So, moral of the story: Make real sure that you have water flowing to the valve before you replace it.

Ice Maker Stopped Working
Tough part was diagnosing the problem: bad water inlet solenoid, frozen inlet line, bad ice maker motor, or door opening sensor? Went to a parts shop & discussed the problem with the serviceman. He said you just need to sequentially replace each part. No way say I, that could cost $300 with a no-part return option.

I decided to replace the motor...Eureka!! It worked.
The underside of the ice maker cartridge has a plastic snap clip on either side of the cartridge. You need push each up, pull the left side of the cartridge out part way & disconnect the electrical connector on the right side(left..you facing the refrig.) With the cartridge out simply remove the 5 screws from the motor plate of the left side & replace with the new one.
Very simple. Slide the cartridge back in the frig. until the 2 snap clips click. Voila...you done! Cost $86..not $300. Apparently the motor is too weak to do the job & burns out quickly. Manufacturer should correct this defect.
