The water no longer sprayed out of any of the arms
I simply removed everything from the bottom on the inside of the dishwasher, required a philips and torque head bits. removed the chopper that was plastic and replaced it with the new parts that I ordered, the original seal was fine so I left it but I saved the new one so if ever needed, it's available to me. The whole process was extremely easy even though it had to be accomplished leaning over the open door and I am an extremely large man, Odd thing though was, I called 2 appliance repair companies and when I explained the symptons, they both told me it was a bad motor and it would be wiser to purchase a new dishwasher. I did my own diagnosis by taking everything encluding the chopper off and putting a piece of ducttape on the motorshaft like a flag, pushed start and then opened the door and to my amazement the flag was spinning, sooooooo, wasn't a bad motor and through further examination, I noticed the threads were stripped out of the plastic chopper, an oversight in the design from Maytag but my parts ordered from this company resolved my issue in a timely manner and expense, Even though $62 seemed a tad high for a part known to be under designed, it was much cheaper than a new dishwasher and made of metal, never to fail again, THANKS PARTS SELECT !!!!!!!! YOU SAVED MY DISHPAN HANDS !!!!!! Yip P.S. I saved their website for futher reference since my whole kitchen has Maytag appliances.

door latch broke
I removed the screws inside the door panel to access the door latch and then removed the latch, after disconnecting the electrical lines. I removed the new electrical switches that came with the new part, and reused the old ones just because it was easier, and I knew they were not the problem. I inserted the new latch assembly, replaced the screws and closed the door. The door would not latch until I used a screwdriver blade to trip the small latch inside the assembly, from the inside. Then the door latched properly and the dishwasher works just fine, again.

There were holes in the bottom of the old silverware basket, which the handles of the silverware dropped through
I took out the old basket and dropped in the new one. No tools were needed. I am really glad that PartSelect carries this item because Maytag does not. Getting this part will allow us to get a few more years of use out of the dishwasher. The bottom of the old basket was disintegrating to the point where it would soon have become unusable and without the replacement basket, the dishwasher itself would not have been worth keeping.

Dishes were not coming clean
Dishes were not coming clean and water was not draining from the dishwasher. Put in new part, and problem still existed. Went and bought a new dishwasher. However during the replacement I found the old dishwasher pump was also clogged with old gel packs, and the water hose was clogged with pipe debris. After clearing the pipe buildup, and replacing the dish washer, all is well. I was hoping the repair would have gone better, had I known the pump was clogged beyond repair I would have replaced the dishwasher sooner. The main issue was the clogged water hose, which caused all of the other issues. I would have loved for the $50 in parts to have fixed my existing dishwasher, unfortunately we didn't correct the problem before ruining the old dishwasher, a $350 mistake...

Clean Water Leakage At Bottom Of Door
After replacing the door foam strip and the soap dish grommet I still had the water leakage at the bottom of the door, in fact a bit more leakage. Then I replaced the foam insulator strip on the inner door. Still had the leakage! I opened the door after the water finished the fill cycle and noticed the water level was unusually high. Apparently the water float was partially stuck allowing an over fill. I pushed on the float downward a few times and removed some of the water and re-ran the washer. The leak was reduced to a few drops. Removed the float and soaked it in vinegar to clean it and this cured the problem.
