Float Clip

The float clip works in a humidifier to ensure the float functions properly. The float is located near the humidifier bucket and monitors the water level as it rises and the clip keeps it in place. The float makes sure the water level is balanced and does not over flow. This float triggers the flow switch to shut off. If there is a defect with the clip, it can be a safety hazard as it might not be able to detect and stop an overflow. Make sure to unplug the dehumidifier from the power source before starting this replacement project as a safety precaution.

The microswitch that senses a full or missing collection bucket can almost be removed without taking off the cover of the dehumidifier, but the arrangement and orientation of connector contacts makes that very difficult.
