I have owned this unit for ten years, it’s been a great machine but just noticed lately that it is not fully functioning. The fan comes on and I can hear relays click but no pump or condenser noise anymore. Hopefully I can get some insight to this problem without having to purchase a new dehumidifier.

Hello Russell, Thank you for the question. We suggest testing the Capacitor, PartSelect Number PS11738454 and the Compressor, PartSelect Number: PS993071. To test the compressor start by discharging the capacitor and disconnecting the wire to the compressor. You would want to test the compressor pins for resistance, they should read equal resistance across all of the pins when tested together. If they read equally, then the capacitor may need to be replaced. We hope this helps.

I "inherited" this dehumidifier when I bought a house. Why does this model have a hose attached?

Hello Gerald, thank you for getting in touch. According to our research, a garden water hose is an optional part and it can be connected to a drain port on a dehumidifier so that it will automatically empty into a floor drain as water is collected. We hope this information is useful!

Keep searches simple. Use keywords, e.g. "leaking", "pump", "broken" or "fit".
broken plastic wheel on dehumidifier so it wouldn't stand up straight.
I was able to pull the old wheel off and then went to google on the computer and put in whirlpool dehumidifier. I was directed to a website where I could put in the model # of the appliancew and then was able to view pictures of repair parts. I was able to view the actual caster and determine that I was ordering the right one. The part came about 3 days later and I was able to snap it on without using any tools. There was alittle plastic guide to hold aside and slide the new caster in place.
