Remove plug in unit from stove top. Turn over and remove the 7 screws from the 4 sides only. Turn back over holding unit together manually. Remove the glass top gently and lay it aside. Removed the bottom cover and replaced the burned contact spade. Cleaned the wires and adjust the contact holder. read more

Took about 10 minutes at the most. Unscrewed 6 screws. Took old top off screwed new top on. New top is a much better design. Amazed how fast we got it! The old glass was completely flat.
