This gas oven thermostat has pre-made holes right through the body of the thermostat so that you easily mount it horizontally. This thermostat has a 36 inch capillary tube and it allows for temperatures between 140 degrees Fahrenheit and 550 degrees Fahrenheit, plus the broiling temperature. Use this thermostat for your standing pilot model Amana brand gas range.

oven thermostat broke

first i shut off the gas, then diconnected the gas lines that go to the thermostat itself, then i took out the 2 screws that hold it in place, and removed it completely from the stove. then i put the new part in place of the old part, and hooked it back up. turned on the gas, checked for leaks with soapy water, then ajusted the piolet light screws, lit the p... read more

Removed broiler door springs, removed door slide arms that attach to broiler tray, two screws on each side. Removed tray and replaced slide guides. Instassed in reverse order. Works great: Thanks, Best thing about this repair was that the parts ordered were right and fit.......... read more
