Unplugged dryer from power source, used putty knife to release latches that hold top on, tilted the top out of the way, unplugged door lite, located the radiant switch, removed 1 screw,then undid 2 wires & lifted out switch. Reversed procedure plugged in dryer....wa la had dried a large load of clothes, took 1/3 the time to dry clothes at last. Thanks "PartSelect"

First, unplug power. The coils are easily accessible from the front of the dryer. Use a 5/16 nutdriver to remove two screws at the bottom of the bottom panel and lift the bottom edge of panel toward you. Pops right out. The assembly with the coils is on the front left. Use a small phillips to remove the coil-retaining bracket. Keep track of orientation of which coil goes where. Slide the suspect coil up off the column and slide the replacement in its place. Carefully slip off wire clips from old to new coil. Repeat for second coil. Reassemble and test.

Followed the easy instructions on the video, and it worked. Sure beats calling a technician.

Opened the dryer door - removed two screws on the left and two screws on the right - pulled the front panel forward and lifted it up to remove. The coils were located on the bottom right hand corner of the dryer, I vacuumed he area and then removed the two screws and bracket which hold the coil in place. Lifted the new coils off paying close attention to their orientation. Installed new coils. Align tab on top of coils with bracket. installed bracket and screws. Tested dryer and then replaced front cover. Very easy and rewarding.

Easy to follow videos on your site made this repair a breeze. I ended up having to replace the high temp cutoff as well but for 60 bux my dryer works like new. The repair man wanted $100 just to come look at it. Could not have done of without the easy to follow video.

Just put the new lint filter in.

Ordered part ( door latch ) flowed instructions easily fixed same.

Pulled out AC cord from wall socket first! Removed the dryer door and front panel (2 screws each) Then pulled both wire connectors off 2 coils. Removed hold -down bracket over coils. Replaced both coils and reconnect . No need to replace electronic igniter for gas. The right parts were shipped faster than I expected. Easy job. The Maytag repairman remained unemployed once again!

Since I wasn't sure which parts to replace for the no heat problem I researched what the problems could be and purchased the 3 main problem parts. Together they were cheaper than the trip charge of a repairman. PartSelect prices were very reasonable and their instructions were close enough to what actually needed to happen that the repairs were fairly simply to complete. The thermal fuse was very easy. I removed the back of the dryer disconnected the 2 wires on the fuse, removed the screw and reinstalled the fuse in reverse order. Take note on how the back of the dryer comes off because there is a little door that slides under one side of the back and on top of the other side. It has to be replaced in the same order or you'll have a hard time getting the hold down screw to line up with the hole. The coils and ignitor were somewhat more difficult and not as easy as the directions made it sound. My dryer has a second plate behind the front of the dryer which held a second set of rollers. This second plate had to be removed before I could get to the coils and ignitor. Also...there is almost no room for to work on getting the ignitor out and it is such a fragile piece that the first one broke and I had to order a second ignitor. But...the instructions from PartSelect were accurate and other that being hard to get to the screws, which took longer time, I was able to replace everything and my dryer works.

Dryer was making intermittent squealing noises sometimes it was amazingly loud, sometimes not so bad. Still, I figured this couldn't be good so I wanted to find a fix. Read the stories here and everything pointed to the 'idler pulley', so I figured I'd give it a try. For me, access was the hardest part -- my laundry room is small and I can't easily get the dryer out or move it around. Not a problem with the part, just my own setup. Important to note that this repair is best done through the BACK of the unit, not the front. Once I got access to the back (removing AC and Water used for the 'steam dry feature') I also had to disconnect several of the electrical connectors to get the unit fully apart. Good news -- the actual replacement of the pulley took about 1 minute! It was just all of the moving and disassembly that took so long. The original idler pulley had worked its way off of the shaft and was out of place and causing the squealing. All is well now, and I saved a bunch by doing it myself. No more squealing!

Watched a brief video on YouTube and followed step by step. Real easy.

First tried repairing the old idler by cleaning and lubricating the shaft. That lasted for about a week but the squealing returned. Ordered the part and had it in a few days. Replaced the idler wheel and it's been quietly running like new for several weeks now. Now wife thinks I'm Superman.

Undo 2 screws take units out, clean a little, install new parts and screw down, done, great site !!!!!
