Have trouble with oven heating takes for ever to get up to about 270 degrees have tested all bake and broil elements to about 15 ohms but the convection elements is testing abut 40 ohmns is that correct for this small circular element do not know what parts to order. Do the elements need to be removed from oven to test if contacts are disconected

Yes, the elements ideally need to be removed from the oven to be tested correctly as it would be very easy for elements still to touch parts of the oven (if not removed ) which could give a wrong reading. It certainly sounds more like it could be a faulty temperature sensor PS1528542, you should check for signs of damage, and replace as necessary. We hope this helps. First we removed two screws under the rim of the range top to open the lid. Lifted the lid and removed the screws from the bracket that holds the elements, Be careful with the clips that hold the element in, if you break them or bend them there aren't any more!
