Does this oven have a thermostat? If it has a thermostat how does one test it? For a double oven does it have a thermostat for each oven?
For model number 79047739407
Hi Michael, thank you for reaching out. Based on our research, your model comes with 2 temperature sensors, with the same part number: PS820208. One temperature sensor is located inside the lower oven section and the other is inside the upper oven section. To test the continuity, you may need to follow these instructions:
1. Remove the temperature sensor from the appliance.
2. Use the multimeter first probe to touch one of the sensor's terminals and the second probe to touch the other terminal.
3. If the sensor is functioning properly, the meter should read between 1000 and 1100 ohms of resistance at room temperature.
4. A significantly different reading suggests that the sensor is malfunctioning.
We hope this information helps!
