It is a good idea to replace grinding burrs every few years to maintain grind consistency. When I pulled the old burns out and compared them to the ones I just bought I was shocked. d more worn than the ones I've had for 12 years. More so, the burrs looked like they were made from cast metal, not cut from stainless steel. Grind selector knob was smashed into pieces during shipment
All I had to do was remove the retainer screw with the allen wrench then put the knob in place and replace the retainer screw with the allen wrench. It took me longer to locate my allen wrench in my toolkit than to make the repair.
