My son in law was able to take off the defective end pieces, and replace them with the new ones, in about 20 minutes. 10 minutes were probably spent in finding the right tools.Very easy to do. Parts were received within 2 days of ordering (I placed order on a Sunday).I was able to find the parts right away on your inter net lay out.

I simply followed the online instructions. Easiest repair job I have done. Once installed, which took about ten minutes, it was producing ice in less than two hours and is performing as it should. Had my frig not been a bottom freezer the installation would have taken less than five minutes. And to let everyone know, the on line instructions came in very handy during the removal process. I ordered the replacement parts on line and received it a few days later. Thought I'd wait till the weekend to install the new parts. I expected it to take longer so I waited. Boy was I wrong. The hardest part was unloading the top shelf of the freezer. And it took longer to go get the nutdriver. I should have put it in immediately. Thanks for the instructional video. followed instructions step by step, everything went right in place and works perfectly. I could do it again inless time now that I seen what I was doing wrong on the back piece. (hope I don't have to) Thanks for asking.

I followed the electrical circuit and noted that both the fan and compressor were powered on a circuit that goes thru the Freezer Thermostat. Lights are on a separate circuit. Since neither the fan motor or the compressor were doing anything, I guessed the problem must be with the Freezer Thermostat. To test this I shorted the Thermostat and the fan and compressor started immediately. I ran the fridge in this mode for a few minutes to determine if it was cooling. When I was satisfied that it was, I ordered the Thermostat. Replacement took only a few minutes using a screwdriver and pliers. Fridge works perfectly now.

Removed malfunctioning icemaker and discovered that inlet water line was frozen. Thawed line using hairdryer and problem resolved. Returned new icemaker to PartSelect they promptly credited my credit card account. Problem solved.

I discovered that the water inlet was freezing, then the incoming water would run into the tray. I watched the video, then removed the ice maker. I discovered the the top two screwed just had to be loosened, not removed. I removed the bottom screw and move the ice maker to the side to disconnect the wiring harness. I found it to hard to disconnect. The pinch clips did not depress as they were supposed to, but the finally release. I did the replace without unplugging the refrigerator and it went fine. Took less than 15 minutes.

I removed and inspected the old unit and found the tray coating was flaking off. I ordered the new ice maker on line, One screw and rotate unit counter clockwise about 10 degrees unlocked it from the two snap in mounts. then unplugged the wire harness and it was free. Had to put the short wire harness on new unit, reverse removal steps and it is completed and working fine.

Sorry for delay in writing. Part I ordered arrived two days ago and it was exactly what I needed. Knowing that there will be problems even with the smallest job I procrastinated starting. When I did start this morning I foud I had to completely remove the ice maker and disassemble it in order to install the water fill cup bracket. The challenge was reassembling the unit. Not hard for an experienced repairman but a challenge for layman. Everything is thing is back to gether now and power on cooling down the refrigerator. Won't know how successful it was until turn on water and ice is formed. If it works this saved $75 just to get a Sears repairman to come out and tell me what would be needed to fix the refrigerator and $1,000 if I had to buy a new refrigerator. Extremely satisfied with service I received. Thank you.

removed drawers and glass; removed screws from end cap. removed screws from metal drawer runner. popped end cap off. reinstalled new end cap; attached metal drawer runner; cleaned everything and put glass back in as well as drawers. sweet

Thought I needed a new filter. Did not solve the problem. I returned the filter to partselect as per instructions. Will order from partselect when I need parts.

Lift drawer off sliders. Remove two screws holding drawer slider. Remove two screws holding left side pantry end cap. Screw new end cap into place. Screw draw slide into place. Replace drawer. It was a quick repair and finding the replacement part was real easy since the right side end cap needed replacing last year for the same problem. Weak design, but that's another story.

I lost the instructions so took one piece at a time off and put it on the new part. Then mounted it in the refrigrator. Works better than when it was new. Thanks for very quick shipping.
