Icemaker not making ice.
Followed the video as a guideline. It was not exactly as portrayed. My husband and I, being long time do it yourselfer's, were able to get around the differences. There were screws, instead of tabs as pictured in the video, plus had to remove 4 screws instead of one to loosen the old icemaker. After 2 days the icemaker is pumping out loads of ice.

Freezer Cold/Frig Warm
One mnorning the temp on the frig was in the 50's and the freezer was cold. Tried to get someone to come out and repair with no luck. We purchased a new frig. Then I decided to see if I could repair the old one to use. I wish I had discovered partselect before I bought the new one. First I thought from the web site that it was a overload/relay problem so I ordered it and changed it out and it was very easy. Then that did not correct the problem so I checked further and discovered that it could be the defrost heat element and thermostat. On partselect web site I saw where if your coil is covered in ice that this could be the reason. I ordered them and watched the video of how to change them out. The video is a little misleading because chances are you will not have the room around the coil that it shows on the video and also the element and thermostat will not come as one unit as shown on the video. It is still easy to cut the wires ont he thermostat and install it. The heat element is a little tricky to get out and back in and the clips that holds yours might be a little different and more difficult to do than the video but you can do it. All in all I spent about 160. 00 And the frig is working like new.

Light switch in the refrigerator was faulty from the first day we installed the fridge.
I had ordered some other parts for something entirely different off your website and service was great. So after almost ten years of a dark refrigerator, because of a defective switch, I decided to see if you had the part to fix it... You did and the part got here in 3 days. I had a working light switch and all the light in the world where my husband needed it most (in the fridge). It took me at the most ten minutes to replace the part. All is well now and I have a happy husband who can find the leftovers just fine. Thanks for your great service!

Squealing noise at different intervals during day.
Emptied frig, unplugged, reached into back of freezer and removed the screws holding bottom back panel. then unwire the motor and replace new one. The problem was the fan blades didnt fit the new motor shaft and motor mounts in upward position so the blades kept sliding down and rubbing. I had to make a homemade bushing to keep blades away from motor housing. Redneck ingenuity.

Change Ice Maker/ Water Fill Cup
The ice maker change out was easy. The problem was the part came with a different filler cup but the one needed was supplied. Changing to the other cup required taking the ice maker apart and installing the other filler cup. Go to the parts list and find the filler cup. Use instructions found there to change to other cup and then install your ice maker.

Refrigerator and freezer quit cooling - After removing cover Evaporator coil we covered with ice and frost.
First I used your troubleshooting tools online to determine that the problem was either the evaporator fan motor or the thermostat. I order both parts so to limit the downtime in repairing the refrigerator. After watching the video on your page show me how to remove and replace the thermostat, I replaced that first. But prior to replacing the thermostat, I used a hair dryer to thaw the ice and frost from the evaporator coils. After all the ice and frost was removed, I use a few paper towels to wipe up the water that accumulated in the bottom of the freezer. I removed the power cord and then replaced the thermostat using the video for reference. Replacement went easy. The hardest part was threading the thermostat wire through the back of the refrigerator. But using electrical tape to keep the cable fastened to the fish wire, it was accomplished. At first the refrigerator evaporator fan did not come on, so I used the hair dryer to dry all around the evaporator wiring and motor. After doing this for about 15 minutes (with the power cord disconnected) I reconnected the power cord and the evaporator motor kicked right in and the freezer began making ice. I checked the refrigerator every half hour for the next few hours to ensure that the repair worked. Everything worked perfectly and the refrigerator and the freezer cooled like new. Thanks for the assistance and troubleshooting guides, they made the job easy.
