Refrigerator stopped cooling compressor did not cycle
unplug power! Remove the screws from lower panel on back of refrigerator. Lift wire mount out of back panel. Capacitor is mounted directly to the relay and overload switch located on the left side of the compressor. Remove the spring clip holding the capacitor in place and pull the old capacitor out. Plug in new capacitor and replace spring clip. Use vacuum to remove dust from drip pan and wipe fan blades clean. Replace wire into slot on back panel and replace screws. Remove front coil cover below freezer door. vacuum dust off coils and replace cover. Plug refrigerator in and enjoy cold beverages. Relay and overload kit were not required for this repair.

Ice maker was leaking and needed to be replaced
I followed the instructions shown on the YouTube video on the Parts Select site. I had to make a few modifications. There were two nuts that had to be loosened to lift the ice maker off the freezer wall. The mounting bracket had to be transferred from the old icemaker to the new one to align with the hole in the freezer to reattach. The white wire went under the clip was a black wire but it was easily recognized. Other than that it was very straight forward and I had new ice in a few hours. I would definitely do it again.

No Cooling in Freezer and Refrigerator Compartments
This site is great! They've helped me with three other appliance repairs. The parts came in a day (ahead of schedule) and I went to work. First I changed the Run Capacitor - still no cooling. So I used the very impressive and very helpful video instructions to replace the Overload Relay Combination, except for one hick-up - my frig had a special connector to the old Overload Relay Combo that would fit the new one. I simply snipped the two wires to remove it, and then put single connectors that I happened to have on the wires. (By the way, as I removed the old Relay, I could hear things rattling around inside of it, so I knew it was shot.) I then paid very close attention to which terminals each color wire was connected to in the video. And, voila, the refrigerator is working perfectly. Many thanks PartSelect!

Icemaker making icebergs, then nothing.
The icemaker in my Maytag refrigerator was having a few problems. First, a small leak developed in the ice cube tray, allowing water to drip into the ice bucket. This of course caused the ice to become one solid mass, totally inappropriate for a gin and tonic. After a couple of months of this, it stopped working altogether. On to the internet I went, and discovered how easy this repair actually was. One nut to remove, one to put it back in. The installation video was very helpful. I did have a concern at first because the icemaker did not start making ice rights away. I thought it might be a defective unit. It took about 12 hours to get the first batch and it has been happily cranking out the ice since! Ed in upstate New York.

Icemaker not making ice.
Followed the video as a guideline. It was not exactly as portrayed. My husband and I, being long time do it yourselfer's, were able to get around the differences. There were screws, instead of tabs as pictured in the video, plus had to remove 4 screws instead of one to loosen the old icemaker. After 2 days the icemaker is pumping out loads of ice.

The frig quite making Ice and Bucket had cracks in it
Ordered the new parts, and they arrieved while the wife was away. I removed old ice maker and install new one in about 5 mins. as you really only have to remove 1 nut and unplug. New one fit like a glove. Ice bucket wa broke where it slides into the track. Remove 4 1/4 net screws, installed ice tray feed auger into new tray and installed it back into the frig. Had ice after about 1-2 hours. Parts were pricy but they were exact fits. Parts came in early also.

Ice maker discharge chute door would not open when "ice" button was pushed
Time to repair was easy and very short -- about 20 minutes. The DIAGNOSTIC time to figure out the part I needed to order was VERY LONG -- about 2 hours. It took a while to figure out how to access the mechanism. My initial assumption was a 'bad solenoid'. It checked "good" for continuity and resistance using a VOM. I tried several things and, finally, noticed the board had a chip that was obviously burned up. Knowing I do not have the tools or talent to replace the chip and not damage the board, I chose to replace the board. Fortunately, my wife was able to order the dual circuit boards (they are a connected 'set') from Part Select. They arrived about 4 days later (not bad, considering we live in a relatively remote area). The 'repair' was easy. Turn off power, remove the ice/water dispenser to expose the electronics and ice door mechanism, disconnect the multi-plug connector from the board, carefully push the plastic clips back to release the old board and lift it out, place the new board into position and carefully snap the plastic clips over the edge of the new board, plug in the connector, power on, test the unit, replace the dispenser cover. Not a hard repair -- once you know what you need. Also, I should mention: The boards cost $164 -- not cheap, but it was a good deal for us. We are selling the house furnished, so if I had not been able to fix it, we would have had to buy a new refrigerator to sell with the house. This saved us about $1000! Thanks for being there Part Select!!

Change Ice Maker/ Water Fill Cup
The ice maker change out was easy. The problem was the part came with a different filler cup but the one needed was supplied. Changing to the other cup required taking the ice maker apart and installing the other filler cup. Go to the parts list and find the filler cup. Use instructions found there to change to other cup and then install your ice maker.
