The agitator was making loud noise and not turning consistanly
I assembled the agitator kit, pulled the fabric softener off, removed the bolt holding the agitator on, removed agitator, seperated the top and bottom section, reinstalled the bottom section, pulled the old agitator kit out of the top and bottom of the top agitator section, replaced with new agitator kit, put top agitator on the bottom section, replaced bolt, pushed the fabric softener back on and washed clothes.

Top Agitator Not Engaging
Just follow the partselect video connected to the part! I have tracked down some appliance parts locally in the past but I must say that using partselect was so much easier and educational than driving across town and/or making calls. For $10, the 10yr old washer is back and operational as it should be. It's only about a 15 minute job but after reading other comments here, I went ahead and cleaned the scum(yes you have it too) on the inside of both the bottom and top agitator pieces. If I need appliance parts, I will be back to partselect. Ordered Sun at 930p and got part Tue at 10a. Great Job! Great Service! Good to see it still exists out there.

agitator wasn't turning
The repair kit that I ordered was a long cam and mine was short.(I didn't know there were 2 sizes) Since I only needed the dogs replaced I took them out of the long cam and replaced them in my cam. No problem it was very easy and anyone could do it. I saved myself a repair bill and showed everyone that a woman can do it too.

agitator was barely moving
I ordered the Agitator Repair Kit (very inexpensive), the shipping was sooner than expected. The instructions were very easy to follow, I removed the agitator from the machine, every part that I needed to know about was listed on my instructions. I replaced all of the old parts with the new kit and put the agitator back in. The only tool that I needed was a socket set and my washer is working better than ever before. I will be buying parts for my appliances from here every time I need one.

Machine would not get up to speed on spin cycle.
Started by unpluging and disconnected water hoses.Removed agitator retaining bolt and pulled off. Tipped machine onto a support on it`s front side. Unplugged motor connector and removed drain hoses from pump.Removed the three motor bolts and rotated and pulled out motor and shaft. Removed retaining clip and installed new clutch assembly. Plastic clutch drive looked ok but since it was apart removed retaing clip and changed it too. Slid shaft and motor assembly back into machine and reconnected everything, works like a new one.

Top part of agitator didn't turn
Removed auger replaced parts. I had to use the old cam because the part that held the cam dogs in place wouldn't go all the way down. If I had pushed hard enough it may have snapped in. Installed the agitator mounting bolt, cap and seal assembly and the outer auger cap and washed a load of clothes!

did not spin all the water out of clothes (clutch was slipping)
followed repair instruction,( bought on line and down loaded ) some instructions were unclear but when you have the machine apart its obvious. your parts breakdown helped more than the instructions once the cabinet was opened.

The wash machine would not begin to agitate after filling with water.
The lid switched arrived as indicated by the order information. Pulling the washer out to remove the rear panel was the most difficult part of the repair. 5 screws had to be removed before changing out the switch and installing the new part. The repair proved successful after the washer filled with water and began agitating on its own.

Pulled fabric softner container out, Pulled plastic cap out. Unscrew bolt with socket set & lifted aditator assembly out. Replaced the plastic (dog-agitator replacement kit)lower assembly back in to place. Rebolted to based & inserted cap back in place as well as the fabric sofner container. Save $195 from having a Sears service personal come out to fix, my total cost under $20
