lift out old filter, wash, put in new filter.

Pulled off old knob, then pressed on the new one.
It was very easy, and the part was the correct one.

Remove Vent Cover, Remove Old Filter, Replace With New Filter, Replace Vent Cover, Repair Complete

I turned the breaker OFF and attached the wires to the switch. I then reattached the switch housing to the stove top with the two screws and turned ON the breaker. The fan worked!

First I removed the burner control knobs by pulling them off. Then I removed the screw washers from around the burner control stems. I lifted the chrome plate from around the burner stems. I disconnected the wire plugs from the rocker switch control. I made a note of which one was plugged to what (color coded). I removed holding washers from the two screws on the switch. Then I unscrewed the small screws that hold in the rocker switch and removed the old switch. I screwed in the new switch, put on the new holding washers, plugged the wire plugs back in, replaced the chrome plate and burner stem screw washers. Replaced the burner knobs and the vent fan worked. The hardest thing was getting the holding washers back on as they are too small to go over the screw but open up as they go on. I did not have the right tool for this so used a hammer and a socket with an opening that would fit on the washer so I could bang it down.

I had tried several other "universal" brands from the home improvement center but nothing worked with my Jen-Aire. I finally ordered from PartSelect and they fit perfectly! My range-top looks brand new and finding and ordering the correct parts was amazingly easy. Thanks!

Remove old filter- put in new filter. EASY!!!!!!!!

Had to use a little mirror to get it on not a big problem.

Removed old filter and replaced with new.

I turned the breaker to the appliance off in the breaker box. Took a mirror and a flashlight to figure out what type of tools I needed. Turned out all that was needed was a phillips screw driver and a pair of vicegrips as the front mounting screws were in pretty tight. Disconnected the element mounting plate, pulled the element forward just a few inches to where I could get to the wire connectors and unscrewed them. Connected the wires to the new element, pushed it back into place and refastened the front mounting plate. Turned the power back on to the oven at the breaker box and turned the oven on the check the element and it worked.

The oven on the 40 year old JennAir range stopped heating. It took more time to locate the model number D120 and conduct part/price search than the time it took to install the correct oven bake element from PartSelect! We read all the comments posted by others. We did not remove oven door. The old element had only 2 screws instead of the 3 reported by many. We followed the sequence--Power off at box; unscrew old element; pull out about 3 inches; disconnect wiring; used telescoping mirror to assist; connect wiring to new element; position new element; install 2 new screws; turn on power; turn on oven -- SUCCESS -- heating better than before. I feel that the design of the indicator light, with the base attached to the bottom of the lens, is ingenious in that it eliminates the need for fasteners in that confined space, However, the plastic used for the base needs to be more flexible. Part of the base broke off in trying to force the base over the bottom of the lens. Fortunately, there was enough left on the base that I could slip it over the bottom of the lens and complete the installation.

Turned off breaker for range. Removed 4 phillips screws on control panel, tipped it forward and rested it on top of partially open oven door. Removed knob and nut on old switch. Moved wires, one at a time from old to new switch. Put new switch in place, tightened nut and pushed on knob. Put control panel back in place and installed 4 screws... piece of cake.

We cleaned the rod on the stove and pushed the new knobs into place. This Jenn Air range was made in 1980. Nice to know Jenn Air is still making parts for their ranges. We also ordered new coil elements which fit perfectly size 6 inch and 8 inch.
