Replaced the guide pads. they were slightly different. I was able to modify them. I think it'l be fine

The repair video from PartSelect.com was excellent in describing how to fix the dryer. All of the parts were included in the replacement kit, including the screws and ball bearing. I was very impressed with the quality of the kit and the video. A $25 kit probably saved me hundreds in repair cost and saved me from having to buy another dryer. Here's to another 14 years of use!

Ordered the part from PartSelect.com. It came in a couple of days, which was nice. My wife was all over me to fix the dryer, or buy a new one. Needless to say, I didn't think the old one was done. The bearing assembly had an instructional video. This provided easy to follow instructions, and simple advice even I could follow. Everything went well, and the dryer is now quietly running as good as new. Awesome website, and the customer service is excellant too. WE use PartSelect.com at work all the time. Disconnected and moved the unit outside, just to clean the lint out of it. Removed the top, then two screws holding the front panel on. Disconnected the two door switch wires. Peeled off the old upper seal and cleaned surface with wire brush. Applied the supplied glue and clamped the new drum guide in place. While it was setting up, I cleaned out the entire inside of the dryer to eliminate the old trapped lint. Replaced the front panel and mounting screws. Reattached the wires and closed the top. Relocated back inside and plugged it in and reconnected the vent tube. Turned it on and it worked perfectly.

when the bearing broke the drum fell in the back. I tore the dryer apart, ordered the part and fixed it when the part came. the dryer runs like new now!

I used the video, and it helped me a lot! I got the drum out, installed the new bearing, greased the new shaft and the receptacle, then I reassembled. When I tested it, mine was still very noisy, so I removed the drum once more and cleaned/added some grease on the tensioner bearing. This was the cause of the noise in my case, but the bearing & housing were nearly shot, so something would have given out very soon. I would suggest to grease the tensioner the first time to save time and effort. (And save some of the grease for the tensioner pulley). SAFETY TIP: there was also a ton of lint that got trapped inside the unit!!! Clean your dryer once per year to prevent it becoming a fire trap!

The consensus seemed to be that the loud squealing was most likely the rear drum bearing needing to be replaced. Although the repair went very well (great video!), it did not fix the problem. BEFORE you go the route of replacing the rear bearing, first pop up the top and see if a little piece of plastic that is attached to the top middle of the front panel by a screw is rubbing against the drum (you have to have a load going). I removed this part (I could not find it listed on any parts list) and the squealing stopped. I have no idea what the purpose of this part is, except for maybe keeping the drum from dropping too far down if the load is really unbalanced. This plastic part is on the dryer that has the controls on the front (it has the ability to be stackable) and might not be on the other unit that has the controls on the top back. If anyone has posted this as a possible cause of the squealing, I haven't seen it.

First I like fixing things for myself. So I looked the problem up on the internet. Found the repair tech that I needed. The found your parts site. And BOOM. Looked up mt part on your site. Very easy you had everything I needed. And you got it to me quick. THANKS. When the part hit my mailbox. Everything I needed was there. I pulled the plug. Fliped the lid up. Took off the front. Removed belt off the ideler. Removed drum replaced bearing assy. Put it back together. Closed the lid and pluged the unit in. Worked so well I felt like a pro. My wife was tickled pink. Just like a new one. Thanks guys for making me look good and saving me a lot of money. Will use this site again. I give you 2 thumbs up.

I ordered the rear drum assembly on Monday evening and the part came on Wed at 11 am. I started the repair at 1 and finished at 3. It would have been faster, but my computer kept freezing during the repair video. The video was so easy to follow. I could have used longer arms or a helper, but I managed to get the job done by myself. Needless to say, my husband was thrilled. Great service. Thanks

Repair went just according to the video except to pull the drum out there was a plastic lock at the front of the dryer. It was held in by one screw and easy to take off. When I pulled the drum out the armature and spring that hold the belt tight fell off. I panicked a little, but easily put the pieces back in place. When I started the dryer for the first time it sounded odd but realized it was the sound of all the grease spreading itself around the bearing.

I followed your videos.Last year I changed the dryer belt with help from your video.Your videos on each repair I've done have been absolutely priceless. You have made every step so clear and easy. Thank you to everyone involved with your DYI program!!!

Remove small back plate near floor with 1/4 inch nutdriver unscrewing two screws. Lay the small plate to the side. Remove dryer belt from around pulleys by pulling up on the old idle arm near main spring. This will loosen tension of the belt. Belt just needs to be removed from only around the two pulleys. Detached spring from old idle assembly. The old assembly will just lift out. Reassemble in reverse order with new assembly from Parts Select. Takes less than 5 minutes. Extremely easy!

THE PROBLEM: Rust marks in the shape of a V started appearing on my clothes. I finally realized that there was gap at the bottom between the drum and the outer frame that was caused by the upper drum support having deteriorated... Clothing would slip into the gap into the area where the metal of the spinning drum was exposed - then spin upward leaving a small rust mark... INSTALLATION: The video of installing this product was spot-on! I removed the old glide and residual glue (the glue was the hardest part), then put the new glide on. After the glue dried enough to hold the felt in place, I put it all back together. So far, no more rust marks on my clothes!

lifted up the top after releasing 2 catches with the putty knife, removing front panel, held in place with 2 screws. Scrape off top felt strip with the worn teflon tabs. Wire brush off old glue. Apply glue provided.(thin coating). install new felt strip. let the glue dry for a few minutes, reinstall, and you are done.

I got my order THE DAY AFTER I ORDERED IT!!!! I didn't expect that. If you can use a screwdriver you can install it. I would use this company again for anything I needed like this. Great service!!!!!
