very easy had to do some rewirng.who ever had it before me bypassed the fuse and several other things.

Took screwdriver popped out old latch in cabnet. Took pliers popped out latch out of door. Snaped new latch parts back in.

Removed rear panel screws carefully removed panel with out disconnecting wire harness located thermal fuse removed 2 screws removed the 2 wires with needle nose pliers put new thermal fuse in connected the 2 wires carefully put panel back on and tightened screws turned on power and start got heat problem fixed

After trying to follow a very detailed description by another consumer, we googled our washer and found a site that showed step by step direction that took us through removing all panels and getting to the bellow easily. Not removing the proper panels, we found was making the job hard!I believe the site was applicance services...very helpful! Step by step literally!!Cost of parts through parts select reasonable.

I diagnosed the problem using the web page. It said that 60% of the people with my problem bought the Thermal Fuse. I unplugged the dryer AND cut the power at the fuse box. I used a screwdriver to remove the vent hose, a nutdriver to remove the back of the machine. The thermal fuse was right there. Removed the old one with a screwdriver, unplugged the wires from the old one and snapped on new one, and screwed it back in. Re-installed the back of the dryer and the vent hose and Whoila! It works like a champ.

pulled out old lint filter. Put in new lint filter.

Repair was very easy simply used a screwdriver to remove the cracked old latch and used my fingers to insert my new latch.

Preface this by saying I'm not a good handyman. I love working with my hands, but I cannot cut straight, make angles, plumb, or do anything electric. I knew I had a gas dryer but I had to learn that it uses a burner not a coil. That said, armed with my trusty iPad, I located Part Select, watched a video or two, entered my problems into the correct fields, and made an educated guess based off of the results. Since I already had the front cover and the motor cover off the dryer and the 2 sensors were right there, I ordered both-why take the chance. I ordered Sunday evening and the parts arrived Tuesday around noon. By 1pm I was drying clothes. Feeling pretty cocky now, I'm going to try to hang gutters this weekend.

Replaced igniter

I first came to the internet to resolve what was wrong. After finding the video I thought was correct I started. I used my volt/ohm meter to check the thermal fuse as instructed on the video and that was the problem. I ordered the new thermal fuse from PartSelect late in the day and it was in my hands the next evening. With in 20 minutes the dryer was doing what it was suppose to do. The hardest part was getting the back cover of the crier off and that wasn't to bad.

I feel like I have a new dryer now. I replace 3 of the 4 main components using parts select. Not only did they ship next day, but the tutorial videos with Steven were right on the money and self explanative.

It took me nearly 3 hrs. but I don't do this for a living. Your instruction video was most helpful, madeit easy to know what to do & how to repair dryer. Part Select is top on my list. The site is easy to use & tells you what to replace based on the problem you are experiencing. The instinctual video are the best in the BUZ! Many thanks for making difficult repair much easier. I tried all standard tricks: checking circuitry, switches, etc. Then I read other submissions on your site, which suggested this thermal fuse was the culprit on almost 50% of cases. I got yours in 2 days, installed in no time, easy as pie. One caution: it will take an entire day if you forget to close the dryer door completely.

Went thru all the electrical connections, finally checked the thermal fuse. . It was the culprit. Next time I start there. Unlike older dryers, where one component gos such as the drum belt or the heating element and its only 2 years old. This thermal fuse shuts down the entire unit when it malfunctions
