Door Cam - Black

The lower door cam is also known as the closing cam or door closer cam and can be found on your refrigerator or freezer door. The purpose of the lower door cam is to lift the door to keep it from closing on the refrigerator/freezer liner. To do this repair you will need a 5/6 nut driver, a 5/16 socket and ratchet. For safety purposes, do not forget to turn off your appliance before making this repair. Note that this piece is black, and as per the manufacturer requires a new screw to mount the door cam which is sold individually.

This refrigerator defrost timer kit is designed to fix issues with your refrigerator temperature as well as symptoms such as the defrost cycle not working, build up of ice in the freezer, and unfamiliar noises from the timer. This device acts like a clock by continually switching between the cooling cycle and defrost heater, depending on the temperature of the refrigerator. If this part is not working, it can lead to temperature fluctuations in your refrigerator. Search for your model number to ensure the correct part is ordered. The tools used for this replacement is a 1/4 inch nut driver and Phillips head screwdriver.

Capacitor

This capacitor is also known as a run capacitor, and it is most often used in refrigerators and freezers. This part provides the voltage or energy current required to start the compressor and keep it running. It allows the compressor in your appliance to easily cycle on and off. Compressor start relay would cycle several times before compressor would come on. Replaced start relay and defrost timer assy. Operated more consistently however not completely reliable. I knew the chances of all the freon leaking out was unlikely so I looked at the wiring to the compressor and there was a capacitor and a starter/overload so i figured I would start there.
