I ordered the igniter part and receive it the next day with standard shipping. It was very easy to intall it took about 15-20 minutes and your repairman video was excellent.

Started off as attempt to make some top burner igniters work; failed to notice that pulling up on front of range top to gain access to igniters is wrong approach and stresses aluminum gas supply tubing; broke left and right front burner tubing, but managed to change igniters after noticing and removing small screws that hold orifice fitting assy. in place under stove top. Expensive lesson. Igniter ceramic insulation was broken but piece remained inside each of two and was Super-glued into place; fix worked on both but later failed on one, which had to be replaced with new igniter. Oil filter wrench worked well for unscrewing burners.

My husband and I were prepared to go and buy a new oven... WE ARE NOT DIYers, but I looked up the model no and problem on the internet. Thank heavens I found the PartSelect site. The best part was the YouTube video!!! It was the easiest repair. For under $50 and 30 minutes our oven works like new! My friends were so impressed, they have asked for the website!!!

I was a little intimadated as I hadn't tried any type of repair like this before. My oven is almost 20 years old so the ignitor was hard wired; there wasn't any plug. I wasn't able to remove the burner assembly so I had to do all my work inside the oven. I had to cut off the plug and hard wire it to the oven. It works great now. All I noticed was that the oven temperature is higher than what I set it at.

Took the old igniter out by taken some screws from the top had to remove the bottom cover underneath then had to cut one of the wire on the igniter put the new one end put the screws back in plug in the oven back iand then check to see that the oven will get hot it did the repair went well.

Removed the racks and bottom tray in the oven. Unplugged the old igniter and plugged the new one in.

I found that the igniter would glow but the burner would not light. I was not sure what part I needed so I went searching the internet and fortunately found "Part Select". Your trouble shooting guide not only told me what part I should buy but demonstrated how to do the repair with a very helpful video. Thank you PartSelect for the the excellent customer service! I ordered the two replacement burners. When they arrived I equipped myself with WD-40 spray, rubber mallet and a rubber gripper I used to use to open canning jars. Sprayed the WD-40 around the burner base and let it sit for 20 minutes. Made a mental note of the location of the sparker of the burner, to remember to put the new one in the same way. Gathered my courage and gently wacked the burner with the mallet all around it. Then grabbed the burner with the gripper and gave it a firm ¼ circle twist counter clockwise. It came apart with no problem. Disconnected the two electric wires by slipping them off their sockets. Removed all the loose rust and cleaned around the burner. Reconnected the wires with the new replacement burner and dropped it in its place. Wiggled it a little until it fit back into its original location and twisted it ¼ circle clockwise. Done, just saved myself the price of a new stove! Note: There is no need to shut off the main gas valve.

Very easy repair. Removed door, shelves and bottom cover over igniter. Removed two screws holding igniter, unplugged wire and removed igniter. re-installed all parts.

Since I had never done anything like this, I watched your video twice. The oven door and racks came out easily. The wire connectors had burned, fusing the plastic parts. I cut them off and spent more time looking for a wire stripper than on the repair. The new igniter looked just like my 1993 oven part. Works great. Be SURE to unplug and turn off gas before starting!

Ordered the part from this site. It arrived In the time thy said it would. Removed old oven igniter and replaced with new one. Removal of screws and old igniter. Replaced with new igniter and put screws back nd it was working again

Called a repairman who came to the house to check the oven and stated it could be one of 3 things but he was not sure what it would be. Stated 2 of the parts would be $200 and the third would be a rebuilt part costing $400. At his suggestion we ordered a new oven. However, before it came in the old oven started working so we cancelled the order. When it would not light a few weeks later, we went to the Maytag website and was directed to PartSelect. We found the list of problems, located the part we needed and received it within 2 days. We watched the video on the PartSelect site on how to install it. We paid the repairman $80 for showing up and he had no idea what to repair. We paid $42.28 total to repair it ourselves. Thank you!! I first looked online at a video on how to replace the igniter prior to recieving the part. The part arrived 2 days after I ordered it (Christmas Day) and was an exact replacement. Taking the oven apart was the most difficult issue since there was some grease missed in the last cleaning plus a couple very tight screws. The igniter unplugged easily and reinstalled without cutting/splicing any wires. Oven was back together and fired up within 20 minutes. Outstanding service and would highly recommend PartSelect.
