Pumps but won't spin, leaks, top of agitator doesn't move
My repair was successful but was not as easy as some have reported. I needed to replace the coupler, but when I tried to remove the pump from the motor, the shaft was rusted and wouldn't budge. I pried and wiggled and used WD-40 to no avail. I ended up taking off the motor and pump as a unit. After replacing the coupler and reassembling the washer, the water pump leaked, probably as a result of all of the prying. To get the water pump off, I had to cut it into pieces, using a hack saw. Even when I got down to the end, I had to peel pieces of plastic off of the rusted shaft. I then had to file and sand the shaft to get it so that it would fit into the new pump. After putting the washer together again and running it through its cycles, I noticed that the top half of the agitator was not turning. I then ordered and installed the agitator repair kit. Through all of this, my orders were all correct and arrived in amazingly fast times. The videos were all very helpful. Even though it was a trial a times, I still saved a pile of money.

The washer would intermittently not spin for the last 5 months. Water would drain on the spin cycle but not spin. Read several websites on the problem but only one hit it exactly.
First watched YouTube video "Kenmore/Whirlpool washer not spinning", excellent video .Disconnected water hoses and drain hose. Unplugged the washer from the outlet. Removed the agitator from the washer tub then tipped the washer backwards resting on a secure block of wood for support not fully on the floor. Removed under insulation, removed both water pump hoses. Have towels ready when hoses are removed, there is still water in the hoses. Removed the water pump, disconnected the electrical connector from the pump motor, removed the bolts from the motor that attached the motor clips, removed the motor clips from the bracket and removed the motor assembly. Video shows motor, bracket and gearbox removed as one unit. Very heavy. Remember motor position on the bracket for reassembly, I used yellow marker. Removed the bracket the mounts the motor. Removed the bolts for the gearbox and began to lower the gearbox. The agitator shaft on the gearbox is pretty long so I had to tilt the washer some more to remove. After the gear box was removed I could now see the spin clutch, which according to the video was definitely bad. PartSelect had the correct part, reasonably priced. Ordered normal FedEx delivery, part arrived in 2 business days. Instructions came with the part for very easy installation. Installed the new clutch and reassembled the washer. Before reconnecting the washer hoses and drain, I plugged in the washer, manually placed timer on spin, washer spun, could not see spin but felt washer in spin cycle. Reattached water and drain hoses. Filled washer empty with cold water and placed timer again in spin cycle. Water drained, no leaks under washer or from hoses, spin cycle good. Repair done, works great.

noise caused b y broken coupler between motor and transmission during "spin" and not spinning
removed motor and broken coupler... installed new coupler and replaced motor. also removed pump to inspect for sock, etc. that that might have caused coupler to break.. ADVICE: Look for how-to video on YouTube first. Remove outer cabinet according to video by first removing the top control panel and then remove the outer cabinet which exposes the motor and pump. This way you will not have to tip machine up/back and work under it. This repair is made easily by first removing the outer cabinet.

Washer would not spin
I followed the instructions from a YouTube video, just do a Google search for the make, model, and what the problem is and several videos will come up to pick from. Everything went just as described in the video, took about 10-min to take the motor out, a couple of minutes to replace the broken motor coupling, and another 10-min to put it back together - slick.

was not agitating
Pulled the top off the agitator, used the pliers to pull off the seal, used the socket to get the bolt off , pulled the rest of the agitator off and replaced the directional cogs. Put it back together in reverse. Piece of cake. Beats paying a repair man.

Agitator Stopped rotating, because the ends of directional cogs had worn down.
Lift off the agitator top with hands. Use socket with long extension to reach to center, unscrew bolt that holds the agitator to the shaft. Lift agitator out, slightly tap with hand so it will come apart to get to the 4 small directional cogs. At this point I used soap & water to clean all parts. I found the Thrust spacer was cracked. Ordered parts and they came in 3 days. You can just set the thrust spacer back in place using the diagram supplied with the parts. With the agitator upright I positioned the 4 cogs in place, and used a stiff wire to pull up into position, turned whole thing upside down, and matched the groves. I then flipped the agitator upright and set back in washer and bolted back into place. Works like new. Thats the way I did it. A good diagram is including with the parts.

The washer was making noise and was leaving the cloth dripping wet at end.
Before I even watch any partselect videos to do the repair, which I should of from the very beginning, ah, ja, ja, I had already disassembled the back panel "my way" to the washer and trouble shooting the washer with my wife's help. While she tilted the washer backwards, I looked under and we found that the noise was coming from in between top of the motor where the direct drive motor coupling is located and the clutch assembly came together which I learned along with names and functions after watching the partselect installation video. Nice! Once I received the part it took me like 45 minutes to put all back together. Took loose two screws to clips holding the motor, pulled motor of mounting bracket finding the broken piece, replaced it, recouped reinstalling motor onto the motor bracket, clip, clip the two little screws and walla, got the wife her washer back, at bed time rewards, peace of mind the rest was history... Thanks PartSelect for awesome videos and great customer service!

washer was squealing during wash and spin cycle
Followed the video and instructions included with part. At first we did not think the repair was successful, but after several small loads were run, squealing stopped. The washer is 16 years old and so far is running like new. We certainly appreciated the great customer service. The part was delivered in less than 24 hours.

Washer vibrated during the spin cycle
The repair took about an hour. My wife told me the washer was so quite that she had to check and make sure it was running. It was like getting a new washer for less than 30 dollars. I've saved Part Select web site to my favorites and will use your company again.
