The bake element burnt out
I turned the electricity off, removed the oven racks. Used the appropriate size socket to remove the two retaining screws holding the element in place. Then gently pulled the element out a couple of inches, pulled off the wires off each contact. Then put the new element on reversing the process.

The bake element in my oven caught on fire and burned out.
My husband just unscrewed the old element, pulled it out. Then he connected the new up, screwed it in place, turned on the oven and thank goodness it worked. The oven is over 16 years old and I was thrilled to find your site with the bake element picture on a graph which allowed me to measure the angles to see if it would fit. That was a great help.

element sparking and popping and quit working
First thing I did was turned off breaker to stove. Then I opened oven door to broil position, pulled the door up at that angle and slid off hinges to make it more accessible to work on. Push door hinges to the closed position for safety purposes(reverse this procedure to install door back later). I then unscrewed the two screws that secure the element to the back wall. At this point I detached support clips and used the element to very carefully pull the wires into the oven. I then used my needle nose pliers to hold each of the spade connectors on the wires and pulled the element from the connectors making sure wires don't fall back into the holes. I replaced support clips and carefully slid element back into position and secured it back to the back wall using the two screws, then attached element to the new support clips. I installed the door back, flipped breaker back on and now my oven has a new broiler element in less than 15 minutes. Thanks PartSelect for the speedy delivery and great price.

The left hinge broke
It was really easy, and my only problem was getting the 3 screws out. I just used some WD40 and liquid wrench to free up the screws. After those were out I was in BUSINESS!!! I then just screwed in the 3 screws, and used my needle nose pliers to reattach the spring and WA-LAH!!! Done deal.

bad elements...replaced both broil and bake
With the nut driver I unscrewed the two nuts holding the element to the back face of the stove..then pulled the element toward the front of the stove exposing the wiring attached to the element. the clip holding the wire and element comes apart very easy...I did it by hand...make sure the wire does not go back in the hole...make a little crimp so as to keep it available...take the new element and attach the wire clip to it and then carefully feed it back through the hole...screw your screws back in and you are done. Both elements are done the same...would also like to say there was great care in packing and shipping the elements...wish all companys would ship with that consideration

Lower element of parents oven out
I recently found out my parents oven has not been working for years and they didn't want to spend the money to have it repaired or replaced. They are elderly and live in New Jersey with my brother, who is not mechanically inclined, where as I reside in Florida. I asked my brother the model number of the oven and ordered the part to be delivered to New Jersey. Within a few days the part was delivered and easily installed by my brother in 15 minutes. Years without a oven fixed in minutes.
