This surface burner control switch kit comes with screws, mounting plate, push on locking nut, shaft adapter, and instruction sheet. The burner switch is universal for 6 and 8 inch elements. It features a one click clockwise (push to turn) function to move from off to high. This surface element switch sends voltage to the surface element coil to turn it off and on, and to control how much heat the element produces. If your surface element will not produce heat properly, it could be due to a defective burner switch. Broil Element

This is a five-loop broil element for an oven, range, or stove. It is approximately 11-3/4 inches wide and 18-5/8 inches long with approximately 11-3/4 inches between terminal connections. It features a.25-inch male terminal push-in connection for easy replacement and a hanger style mount. It is 3000/2500 watts and 240/208 volts. This broil element is located on the inner upper wall of your oven. Be sure your element wires do not fall through the wall of your oven when you uninstall the existing part. The wires are short and will make your repair more difficult because they are difficult to retrieve.

Since the heating coil is right behind the front door I had to remove all panels starting with the back one to get to it. The back has a lot of tech screws that I removed with the nut driver. First i shut off the power since this is an electric cook top/range. I then removed the knob and the two screws that hold the burner switch in place. lifted hood top unscrewed 4 small screws opening lid to switch housing took out 2 small screws that held the switch and then transfered wires to new switch replaced new switch with 2 new screws and back to working again walla! Time spent less than 30 minutes very simple as the instructions were very self explainatory. read more
