We found great video instructions via youtube.com to give us an idea to what might be the problem even before we opened the dryer. Then we opened the dryer top and front door and then removed the belt and drum. We then saw that one of the drum wheels was worn and the rubber part of the wheel was warped off. Once we saw what part we needed we ordered them through PartSelect.com since their wonderful instructions helped us out. Once we received the part we easily removed the old drum wheels and installed the new ones...super easy! Then we had to put the drum back in with the belt. The only "difficult" part was looping the belt around the motor because there was a lot of tension. Once that was set we just put the door back on and then the top! I guess the only snags we had during the process was where exactly to remove screws or pry open certain places b/c every dryer is a little different. I just advice people to really look at their dryer and think about how it is held together instead of just unscrewing everything. We are so glad we found the partselect.com instructions via YouTube.com. We were ready to buy a new dryer but fixing the dryer ended up only costing us $30! Our dryer is so quiet now, just like it is brand new.

it was so simple, just take back panel off dryer and remove two screws and relace heating element.very easy to do.alot cheaper than new dryer or repairman.

Removed the back panel and observed the Thermal Fuse at the bottom of dryer.One screw and two connectors and changed the fuse. Problem solved and Dryer working again. Easy Fix and Thanks.

Repair took less then a hour. Very simple and easy to install new thermal and heat control.

When I told my Uncle I needed to learn how to fix a dryer he gave me a multi-meter and his old repair manuals from when he was a repairman. My uncle lives in another state and recently had heart surgery. I read them then I read up on multi-meters. I tested each part. The cycling thermostat appeared to be dead. I found Part Select during a search for that part. I ordered it and received it very rapidly with great service. I put it on and discovered the heating element was also dead. Back to Part Select got it fixed it runs like new. I did not memorize the model number and I have no idea how old it is so I am unable to answer all your questions. I'm not really fit to instruct anyone I'm not even sure what I'm doing.

Multimeter to check start switch, then thermal fuse. Removed back panel and replaced parts. Very easy for anyone to do.

Follow the video that PartsSelect has posted. Easy repair. I spent most of my time cleaning out the lint from the back of the dryer. Wasn't bad but figured I do it for general maintenance and fire prevention. *** Important *** There was an additional piece (thermal cut out fuse) that existed on the original heating element. Be sure to remove it and transfer to the new heating element. Easily done with a pair of needle nose pliers.

From the description of the symptoms on the site and what part fixes those symptoms I was able to determine what part I needed. The video was very easy to follow and understand it was very helpful. Hands down the best parts website I’ve ever come across.

Removed the front panel (door and all) to repaired the belt as the instructions said took him 10 minutes. Than as we have the door off we snapped the old door catch out and snapped the other on in less than 5 minutes. The most work was me holding to front panel while my husband screwed the screws off and back on. Total time 25 minutes. My dryer is from the early 1990's. Our baby girl was in high school. She's 29 years of age now. As long as this company stays around we will be ordering our parts from PartSelect. Thanks!

I watched the repair video on your website,that was abig help , dryer runs good

Used the putty knife to pry open the front of the top cover. Removed the retaining screws securing front cover to each side. Lifted front panel off bottom hooks and holding drum, removed front cover. used wood block to hold drum in place. removed broken belt and belt tension spring. Keeping the rubber side of the belt against the drum, threaded belt through the tension spring onto the drive motor flywheel. Tilted dryer backwards to hold drum in place while removing wood block. Assembled front and top in reverse order. Used pressure to secure top to spring clips.

I removed the 9 screws from the back plate of the dryer. I cleaned all the lint off the wires and the entire back of the unit with a paint brush and vacuum cleaner. Then I removed each part with a nut driver, also removing the wires and replaced each part in less that 1/2 hour! The videos were a huge help. Now my 16 year old dryer works like new. Saved lot of $$$. Thanks Partselct you're the Greatest!

Let me put it to you this way I called the repair man and they would Charge me $150 to get the dryer fixed,by ordering the parts I spent $32 and 15 minutes installing it with the instruction video very easy to do Take the advice it yourself and save yourself some money $$$ With The extra cash I took my wife out for dinner Now that's money well spent...

Disconnected electrical output, closed gas valve and line. Removed back of dryer and removed wires to thermostat and replaced with new thermostat. Did not solve problems.
