Follow the instructions contained in the kit along with the excellent referenced how to video on YouTube. Will certainly go to PartSelect for all my future appliance repairs.

It was a shot in the dark given I've never performed any trouble-shooting on a dryer before but it was either I try or spend $900 - that I don't have - for a new dryer. I'm female, very mechanically inclined, and will try anything once. My previous recent parts order from PartSelect.com proved successful (in-wall oven door hinges and gasket) so I decided to at least try. To have a repair person come in the house would be at least $100 and that wouldn't cover parts; I don't know anyone to call so that made it worse. And again, buying a new dryer was even worse. I did an Internet Search on my dryer model and also put in "gets hot but won't dry". I received answers that it most likely was a belt. Logic told me - before the search - that a dryer must have either a pulley or a belt to operate so I thought I was on the right track! Lo and behold up pops up Partselect.com as having a belt which the website stated was about 85% the cause of my problem. The belt was $11.49 - how could I go wrong to just try it!??? I then found positively OUTSTANDING VIDEOS on how to change the belt and one thing led to another and I decided to purchase the entire repair kit (wheels, belt, etc.). I also decided to change the thermal fuse given the age of the dryer and while it did get hot it seemed to take a long time for a small amount of clothes. Purchased the kit and fuse, had them shipped 2-day priority (total cost $60) and downloaded the videos to change the entire kit and the fuse after having watched them on the website. I brought my laptop down to the washer/dryer area and place it on the washer. Turned on the video and followed it - stopping the video to perform my part of the repairs. It worked FANTASTIC!! One thing I did find was the dryer had never been serviced and was positively loaded with dust, dirt, "kitties", the lint chute had never been cleaned out and it had toothpicks, nails and screws in it. The entire project took me over 4 hours but that was only because the inside of the dryer was sooooooooo disgustingly dirty. I vacuumed everything - even the motor was covered with caked on dust - and when it came time to install the new parts I breezed right through their installation. There were even written instructions with the parts along with written instructions on the Partselect.com website but the videos are AMAZING! They made this repair so easy to perform, everything was laid out on the video and once I had the "squeaky clean" dryer all put back together I flipped the switch to find it worked like a brand new dryer! I have saved $840 (not counting taxes and delivery fees for a new dryer) and I have now completed TWO major appliance repairs myself........no outside or professional help ..........and I owe it all to Partselect.com and the super videos and parts that FIT! I've never been so happy about a repair as I am the dryer and not only for the tremendous amount of money spent but the ease in which Partselect.com made it with the videos. First I watched the videos to be sure these parts were easily accessible. After determining the heating element was the problem, I decided to change the other parts only because they were so simple to change. I paid just shy of $100 for parts and fixed the dryer myself, saving who knows how much from a service call. This was by far the easiest appliance repair I've ever done. Thank you PartSelect.

Thousand dollars for a new dryer or twenty bucks for a new belt. Thank-you parts select. Ordering was easy and the instructions were bang on!

flipped top up, removed 2 5/16 screws and removed front face. removed drum and belt. removed retaining clips on rollers and removed wheels. replaced all clips and new wheels and installed new belt on drum and reassembled in reverse order

Step 1: remove new latch from bag in which part comes. Step 2: push latch into hole where the other latch was. Step 3: enjoy having a dryer you dont have to hold closed with a folding chair.

Unplug Dryer. Take off exhaust hose. Unscrewed the back panel and remove off the dryer. Locate heating element and unhook wires. Unscrew heating element. Replace with new heating element. Hook up wires. replace panel and exhaust hose. Plug dryer back in. Check for heating.

Watched video on You Tube, ordered parts online and used excellent instructions sent with belt and other parts in kit. Turn power off by unplugging cord, lift out lint screen, remove screws in lint screen slot, pry up top of dryer with wood chisel or heavy screwdriver, unplug wires top front of dryer, remove self-tapping screws holding front panel in place, lift out drum, remove and replace all parts included in kit, lifted drum back into place, placed detergent bottle under drum to hold it in place while attaching new belt, asked wife to hold lightweight drum in place while I reattached electrical wires and front of dryer. Lowered top of dryer into place and reinstalled lint screen, Be careful! Panels are thin and cut like a knife. Also the dryer lid can fall if you slide the dryer into the wall while working below.

Motor was tight, very hard to turn by hand. take the back motor mount strap off and you will be able to put an adjustable wrench on the shaft of the blower. you should be able to put vice grips on the pulley end and turn motor counter clock wise (CCW) to let handle of vice grips rest against the bottom of the machine and turn adjustable wrench CCW to turn off blower wheel. However, the one I did, the wheel was so tight I ended up having to break the blower wheel down small enough so I could pull the motor out. remove the front motor mount strap and pull the motor out. Install the new motor wheel and motor in the revers order. Set motor in place, install front motor mount strap, put blower wheel in from the back of the machine and start treading on the motor shaft. Then,from the front, tighten the blower with wrenches turning clock wise and put machine back together. Always unplug machine whenever working on it. If you go to Whirlpool web site there is a step by step video that will walk you through this entire process.

I checked all of the most commonly affected parts (as described on this site) with an ohmmeter (My first time but very easy to use). The only exception was the heating coil but this appeared to be working fine. The cycling thermostat showed resistance so I ordered a new one here. Replaced it and now the drying is working like new! The informational youtubes, diagnosis, purchase and repair only took me an hour. Never tried fixing an appliance myself before but so satisfying! $25 dollars and convenient timing is much better than the $350 I spent to have an appliance repairman fix my washer.

Could not be any easier. For less than $20 and 15 minutes time, I couldnt be happier.
All that was needed is a nutdriver to remove a 1/2 dozen screws to take the back panel off. Then a phillips screw driver to remove the thermal fuse. Unplug 2 wires and then attach them to the new fuse. Put it all back together and done!. Working dryer.
PS: I had enough gas line and ducting connected to the dryer ,so thatt I was able to get behind it with out removing them. This may have taken another 15 min. if I needed to do this and two adjustable wrenches.

Removed top of dryer and front panel per instructions and removed belt and drum. After removing what was left of the old rear drum seal I scraped off and sanded the old adhesive off. Reapplied new adhesive and installed new seal after about 3 to 5 minutes (let adhesive get tacky) I then used about a dozen spring clothes pins to hold seal in place while adhesive set up. Reinstalled drum,belt,front panel and top and job was complete. Time included letting adhesive set up. Easy and inexpensive, thank you parts select.

Very easily replaced both parts. Works perfect!!
