We usedthe instructions that PartsSelect offered. Unscrewed the top in the back of the dryer lifted it up and replaced the part. A Lot cheaper than calling a repairman...

Simple to remove the back cover, two screws holding the timer, unplug wires from old timer, install on the new one. New timer was exact match to the old one.

I am a 75 year old woman who always had servicemen do the repairs that needed to be done in my home. However, living on Social Security I needed to reduce my expenses. I watched the video of how to replace the part and determined I could follow them easily. Within a short time the door switch was installed and the clothes dryer started working at the push of the on button.

Removed front lower panel as shown in how to do video, removed two screws from heating element bracket and pulled the whole tube that holds heating element and thermo cut off and thermostat. Used OHM meter to check out heating element, thermal cut out and thermostat. Thermal cut out was the only thing bad but replaced both thermostats as recommended. The most time was taken cleaning out cabinet as it had eleven years of lint and very lucky it never caught on fire over the years. Put all back together and dryer now dries clothes in half the time as before.

Remove two screws from lint trap lift top, disconnet wires on front panel. Remove front panel and drum take out two screw from coilvalve remove and replace with new valves.

Easy repair once you locate the problem. The video is really helpful.

ordered a replacement light - took about 5 minutes, hardest part was disconnecting power and getting into the dryer replace light. The second part was replacing the dryer switch. This took a bit longer, but was completed. The plastic locks on the top were a little different than the video, but once I saw how the one worked (one side popped open very easily) the other one just took a bit of nudging and opened easily too. Now that I have done this, I am not afraid of working on it for other issues. Great helpful site. They will have my business for other repairs.

My husband changed the part but part select was very helpful. With their free repair help site it made repairing a breeze! We will use parts select again and again. I did order all the parts we might have needed and only needed one. Now I will return the others.

I unplugged the dryer, removed the vent pipe, moved the dryer out to remove the back to get at the wiring and the thermostat's. Used the volt-ohmmeter to check for bunt out fuses and thermostats. The thermal fuse was out. If that part burns out there is trouble with one or all of the other safety devises, which is hard to check, so I replaced all 4 of heat controls. It was easy and now I do not have to worry about the dryer over heating. Thank you for your suggestion on what might be wrong and how to fix it. Pulled old handle out, pressed new handle in...that fast!

Removed the back panel and observed the Thermal Fuse at the bottom of dryer.One screw and two connectors and changed the fuse. Problem solved and Dryer working again. Easy Fix and Thanks.
