Shut of power to the dryer, removed the two screws that hold the control assembly on. Then rocked it forward and up to gain access. Unplugged the two wires and with a quarter turn, removed the old switch. Replaced switch and assembled in reverse order and it was good to go.

Dryer continued to run at end of cycle and buzzer would not shut off.

Turned the dryer circuit breaker off. Removed the console from the dryer and then removed the screws holding the back plate. I then pulled the spade lugs off the terminals of the pushbutton. To remove the pushbutton from the console I had to turn the pushbutton so the square on the pushbutton aligned with the square hole on the mounting base of the console. This allowed me to remove the old pushbutton. I was now ready to install the new pushbutton. I aligned the square on the pushbuuton with the square on the mounting base. Once inserted in the square hole , I rotated the pushbutton securing it to the base. I reinstalled the spade lugs on the terminals of the pushbutton. I then secured the back plate to the console and put the console back onto the dryer. I turned the breaker back on and tested a dryer cycle. It worked!

Dryer would not run after you let go of push to start button

  • Customer: Doreen from Winthrop, MA

The dryer had heat and would run when start button depressed but would stop immediately when you let go. I decided after researching problem it was probably the relay switch. I watched youtube videos on how to access the switch. I used a putty knife to get the endcaps off, a phillips screwdriver, and pliers to pull the wires out of the relay. (after shutting off gas & unplugging the power of course) I am NOT mechanically inclined and this took me less than 15minutes. I did not do expedited shipping and received the part in less than 48hrs. Could not have been easier and works perfectly!

I usually never fill out this type of information for anyone but I felt that I needed to tell people how great the service is. I watched the youtube installational tutorial and I replaced both items without any problems.. The guy that makes the videos should get a raise. The parts were delivered in record time and I saved alot of money by doing the repairs myself. Kudos to a great company that goes the extra mile. BTW: I am not affiliated with the company in any way....... Thank You!

pop the top of the dryer open with a screwdriver(front), leatherman works well, unscrew the old switch, disconnect the wires - new part has 3 wires old one has 2 but the connector fits fine. closed up the dryer. turned it on. it works fine. A long phillips head is suggested (8") to clear the door frame so you don't beat up your knuckles.

The on-line instructions were excellent; however, the man doing the demonstration used a brand new machine - not one where the old seals had melted and dried out and required serious cleaning before attaching the new seals. The new seals went on easily and I am very happy with everything about this task. I am also glad I now know what that lint chute looks like, so I'll do a better job of keeping it clean in the future.

Clothes getting hot, but not getting dry

Verified that the heater element was working; drum and contents were getting hot. Could hear the thermostat clicking on/off as the element started to glow. Drum stayed very steamy the entire time; consistent with no airflow. Fan motor was running, dryer vent/line were clear. Verified cold (not hot) air from the external vent. Seals had degraded to the point that the fan was not drawing air from the drum, but from inside the dryer cabinet at the lower seal (by the fan blades); hot air was escaping from the upper seal and was causing the dryer cabinet to get unusually hot. Installed these 2 seals, and the dryer is working perfectly now.

My grandson and I wiggled the dryer out of it's tight hole, turned it around and squeezed it back in to make room for the repair job. I followed the easy repair video on your site and removed the housing etc, vacuumed the lint collected over the past 6 years, replaced the heater coil and sensor, and had it back within an hour, with most of the time spent on cleaning lint. Thanks for the video!! This kind of DIY can be fun with the right info. Great bonding-time for generation gap, too. Dryer works like new.
