I followed the video on replacing the direct drive coupling. It was easy to follow and gave step by step instructions for screw locations, fastener and part removal and installation.

The spin cycle was super slow leaving clothes soaking wet at the end of a full wash cycle. Ordered a clutch repair kit, watched the how to video that was e-mailed to me with my order while I did the repair and got it done in about 45 minutes. This was my first true appliance repair outside of maybe a busted fuse or replacing the heating element in a stove. Never thought taking the motor, transmission and clutch out of the washer and putting all back together would be so very simple. Meanwhile my wife is pissed because she thought she might be able to go get a brand spankin new washer...until I fixed the old one. Thanks for saving me some dough PartSelect.

I found a repair video on You tube by Parts Select. I ordered the pump and it could not have been easier. I probably saved $200. The hardest part was lining up the cabinet to put it back in place. Patience & you'll get it. Thanks.

Two screws on the back of the washer releases the top control panel. Then unplug one plug and hang the top over the back of unit. Two clips removes the sides and top which gives you access to the pump. You then remove the two hose clams and the hoses and two more clamps hold the pump on. Reverse the process hook up the water and plug it back in.

When my 13 yr old washer stopped working the timing was not at all good to spend money on a new one. I have two of my children getting marriied within the next year and funds are tight. I decided to troubleshoot it myself online by googling my problem. I found out what I thought would be the parts I needed, I took a chance and ordered them. The bonus was the videos that you emailed me with the complete installation instructions. I am a banker and a 53 yr old woman ...not exactly a handy man. With your videos I was able to fix my washer by my self for just the cost of parts...so my wedding budget is still in place. This was a simple repair. I simply placed washer on its back. Then used some channel lock pliers to remove the clamps and hoses. Released the clips holding the pump in place. Removed the pump. Reversed the order and it was complete.

Tilted the machine back. Done carefully the hoses can all stay connected. Removing the pump from the motor first makes it easier to access the clamps on the hoses. Be sure to have a pan handy to catch the excess water out of the drain hose when you disconnect it. Connect the hoses to the new pump. rotate the shaft on the motor to line it up with the hole in the back of the pump. Clip the pump back in place, set the washer back in place and it's all over. It took me more time to file this repair story than it did to perform the repair.

Unplugged washer. Used paint scrapper to pop each side of control panel loose. Used nut driver to remove grounding screw. Pulled small gray tab toward front to pop switch loosen switch and pop it out. Lowered lid about half way to ensure cover arm engaged the switch as I snapped switch into switch cut out. Tighened ground screw with nut driver and plugged washer back into wall outlet. Snapped control panel back down.

Popped the drain lines off the old pump....installed the new pump....reattached the drain lines.....worked like brand new...praise God! :-)

Easy as 123... unscrewed the top agitator, removed the parts and replaced. This part cost me about $3.00 and the repair call the last time was $250.00. I guess I would call it a profitable day!

I actually thought the job of replacing the clutch was more difficult than it actually was. I simply watched the video on how to do it and it was really a task that pretty much anyone could do. The only bit of trouble I had was putting the C-shaped wire clip back on the shaft to hold the clutch in place......other than that everything else was pretty easy.....I would definately use Partselect again...

Simply removed the agitator and replaced dog ears. Really easy!
