Ihis $2000.00 plus fridge's icemaker lasted only a few years. I saw on you tube a video showing what may be causing the problem. After ruling out any problem with the electric eye mechenism I figgured it had to be the actual icemaker itself. I purchased one ,it installed very easy and is now working fine.Had I known it would be this easy to diagnose and install I would have replaced it years ago.

Checked the hose above the icemaker to see if water was frozen. Ran the freezer at a lower temp to see if lines would unfreeze. Took a wild guess that a component was broken in the icemaker, but it was cheaper to get the entire assembly anyways. Removed about 4 screws under icemaker, disconnected icemaker, jiggled and slid the icemaker and tray out, traded out icemaker assemblies, and put it all back, probably took 10-15 mins, and it made ice again!

Originally ordered parts I thought would fix ice maker. When I took apart the icemaker assembly I noticed and found the actual part that went bad. Called customer service and was able to return the parts I thought would fix the ice maker, without any problems. I ordered the correct part on the same call. Within a day or so the new part arrived and was installed within 15 minutes. Thanks to the instructions & comments posted on the "Instant Repairman" link. Awesome customer service that can not be bet.

It was so easy, one screw to remove the plug cover, slide out unit, unplug, take off bottom by unscrewing 3 screws, place bottom on new unit, plug in, slide in place, replace cover, and let it get cold before turning on icemaker. The video on your site really helped.

I watched the video about how to repair the ice maker and saw that it was super easy. I ordered the part and it only took two days to come in. Installation was super easy to do. The hardest part was getting the wiring harness to lay back so every thing would slide in. It took about 30 minutes total to get the old one out and the new one in. The video helped greatly. It started making ice within 10 minutes of turning it back on. I'll order from you again when I need parts.

Once it was determined that the icemaker was actually the problem two really good things happened. One, there was a video on the repair process on the web site. I wish I had viewed it before I removed the icemaker because it would have saved me about 10 minutes in that process. Second, I order the part on Friday morning around 10:00 a.m. and then went to the store to buy bag ice to get us through the weekend. On Saturday morning, the part was at my door ... yep, less than 24 hours! Everything was back in working order in about 15 minutes, part of that was my wife taking advantage of the shelf being out to do a little extra cleaning and reorganizing. Thanks for the video and excellent service. Ron Coulter, Celebration, FL

I took out the icemaker to see if I could find a problem and the ice tray coating was peeling, the tray heater was corroded and so was the motor assembly. I matched the picture on the site to my icemaker, checked the dimensions they gave and it was identical so I ordered it. Install was pretty easy and the icemaker started working within minutes. Thanks!
