removed ice make from freezer. Removed end cap and replaced control and mostor assembly. The associated You Tube video was very helpful.

My wife could have made the repair, I got on line, typed the problem in and PartSelect came up. The drawings were there as well as instructions. The part came, again with instructions and it took about 20 min. Good job guys.

Shut off water & electric.Remove 2 screws,cut water lines,unplug electric plug. Install electric plug,push water lines in.reinstall screws,hook up water line & plug in ref.Turn water on, ck for leaks.

Removed the old cam and put books under the door to hold it up. Follows instructions and really easy

remoove all the food and shelves out from the freezer section, remoove the light bulb lens ( 1 phillips screw) remoove light bulb, take out 6 srews on the back panel then slide out through the top with a slight bending curve motion, the bimetal thermostat will be clamped to the evaporator inlet, ( just after the cap tube) snap it off, then cut the wires about 2 inches from the stat, strip the ends about a quarter inch with wire strippers, same on the new stat, then use 16 or 18 gauge butt splices and crimp them , then reassemble in reverse order.

One day the ice cream in the freezer seemed mushy, but the ice was still frozen. There was not water in the ice bin. However, the problem resolved itself. This suggested that the defrost timer had become stuck for an extended time, but then continued to run. The fact that the freezer went back to frozen, implies that all the components of the cooling loop (compressor, condenser & fan, evaporator & fan) were fine. It was possible that the problem was caused by a bad defrost (?evaporator?) thermostat but everything I saw on line suggested that the defrost timer is the culprit about 40 - 50% of the time. Anyway, I followed the instructions in the on-line video at this site for replacing the defrost timer and it was easy. It would have only taken 15 minutes, but I spent a while reading the defrost timer instructions and hunting down a schematic for my refrigerator, to determine which pin the loose wire should go on.

Removed outer cover. Removed control bracket which holds the water/ice dispenser paddles. Removed paddles from old/broken bracket, plastic pins were broken where the paddles hinge. Placed on new bracket placed screws and it was done. Very simple repair. Part cost less then $18.00 including shipping. Saved me mucho dollars!!!!

hardest part getting the putty knife in right place to pop off cover---found the plastic bracket was broken where the switch was held in place---- so ordered new switches and bracket ---- got the parts in 3 days--good service--easy job 2 do and saved lots of $$$$$$$$---

I called the 800 number and the lady was great to work with and helped me thru all the order process and confirmed the numbers. She also told me she would try to get the order out that day which she did and I had the part two days later. When it arrived I went to the web site and reviewed the video and went to work and all went as the video said. Thanks for the help and if i need another part I will visit your site or call.

Well I have to say as a HVAC contractor for 32 years this was a very easy repair for me or anyone who is not a HVAC contractor such as myself. I always like to do a little research on any repairs that I have not performed myself and the instructions and video that was available on this web site was awesome. I did this repair in less them 15 minutes removing parts and reassembly of new part. I did let ice bin sit out for about 10 minutes after I removed ice to de thaw and reach room temperature to keep from cracking frozen plastic parts.The new ice auger drum was a very nice perfect fit and was made of a much better quality plastic then the OEM that was replaced. My mother was very pleased as I did this repair for her at her home and she watched me do the repair and she is 74 years old and she commented that she could have done this repair herself after watching me and she also watched video from this web site after I mentioned it to her. I would highly recommend that if anyone needs parts for there freezer or refrigerator to buy from this web site. The price was much lower then anyplace else I could find and it was shipped to my front door in less then 2 days. I watched the video showing how to disassemble unit and it showed that there was a heat element inside the chute door under the foam seal that needed to be removed and placed in side the new chute door. I spent about 10-15 minutes trying to salvage the element but the adhesive used would not release and the part was rendered unusable. I called the help line and was told that their instructions on that kit said the heating element was no longer required. I finished putting the kit in and the unit works fine

My Whirlpool refrigerator frezzer was not defrosting and the refrigator was not cooling. I followed the symptom parts advise (Defrost Timer Kit and the Bimetl-Def)of P/S. I pulled out the refrigerator from it inclosure and unpluged it, (note the shelf supports, the thinner ones are on the left side) I remove the shelfs and their supports,I removed the interior back cover of the frezzer, using a hair dryer I melted the frozen ice from the frezzer coile. Once all the ice was melted away, I cut off the old BIMETL-DEF and attacth the new BIMETL-DEF making sure the color wires are match correctly and using electrical connection plugs and electric tape I reconnected the wires. (2) I followed the video instruction for replacing the Defrost Timer Kit I found it to be quite easy to follow. The most deficult part was trying to position my body to remove the screws. I used an old CREDIT CARD to remove the face of the Refrigerator control buttons in order to access the compartment which house the Defrost Timer kit. I removed the old Defrost time kit and replaced it with the new one (following the Video instruction). I replace the frezzer cover inserting the lower four screws then using an old Credit Card I forced the top end of the frezzer cover under its retaing wall. I then replace the remaining two screws. JOB DONE

Removed hinged door from front of ice maker. Removed screws from bottom of ice maker. Removed ice maker unit and replaced control board. One pin connection was burnt. Reassembled unit and it works fine.

Ice door would not close thus letting warm air into the freezer compartment. Thinking the spring was broken, I ordered the Ice Door Kit. When it arrived, I dismantled the dispenser and installed the new parts. After installing all the new parts, I found that my problem was the "Y" end of the bracket that holds the spring pin. It was cracked and would not hold the pin. The bracket seemed to be molded into the panel on the outside of the dispenser. To replace the bracket, I would have had to replace the entire outside panel. I decided to repair the bracket and glue the broken piece. I used cyanoacrylate(CA)super glue that I use in model making. Even though that seemed adequate, I decided to drill a small hole through the bracket, perpendicular to the crack, and install a small screw to strengthen the crack. I also applied a little CA to the screw for good measure. It held fast and so far so good!
