I found exact instructions on Youtube. Watched the video. Verified that my Control Bracket was in fact broken by partial disassembly. Ordered the part from PartSeclect. Received the part the next day (though I only paid for ground/standard delivery). Installed the part as described in the video using only two screwdrivers and needlenosed pliers within 14 minutes from start to dispensing water again. My water dispensing was interrupted less than 48 hours. Amazing!!! Thank you. It was fun, fun, fun.PaPa43

turn power off, take the little cover on front of ice maker off so you can pull ice maker box out easier, unplug the easy connector ,after this take square cover off you'll see control motor take 3 screws off pull control motor out change new one in ,put them back together.turn power back on .then now Ice Maker will make some after 2 hours .You will SMILING then say ,Oh Yeah. Removed and replaced retaining clip and installed a new strain relief. Parts arrived in 2 days from the time they were ordered. No problems whats-so-ever. Great doing business with Parts Select again.

Put part on /did not see warter come at first had to go a cycal then ice again thanks alot, danny repair guy whanted 46$ to look at part. Good job.

My ice maker has been broken since august 2011. I called my son in law, which is very handy, he looked at the broken ice maker, said he had no clue how to fix it, since its computerized. I followed the instructions on the information sheet provided as well as watching a demo video on YouTube. Actual replacement of the emitter and receiver boards took only 5 minutes, but I was not sure it was working till I could here the ice maker harvesting the cubes. Still wanted to be sure so I kept an eye on it for a few hours. Each time I looked in there was more ice. I am so glad I found your website. Parts were about $106. Labor would have cost that much and the repair guy I talked to on the phone said he would probably have to replace the whole unit.

First I used some glue to stop the crack from spreading, and that worked for a while, but then I deceided to get a new replacement part. What I got was better than the original one as it had a white protective piece over the end of the drawer and I believe that will give more protection to the drawer. My kids did not always close the drawer all the ways and that is how the crack started. So now the refrigerator looks like new again.

After figuring it out, Some changes had to be made, but everything went smoothly

Took the cover off the relay parts with pliers removed the relay replaced bad part with the new parts and put the new cover back on plug the refrigerator in and it started to cool off and it is running great so far . A 46 dollar parts and it saved me a lot of money and it only took 15 min. Thank you

I got the new part and unplugged the refrigerator. I removed the wire auto shut-off. I removed the old motor assy. I checked to see if the motor quit running at the same locations as the new one before removing the entire ice maker. Lucky it did, so I installed the new motor assy without having to remove the ice maker. It took 10 minutes at the most.
