1. Remove the ice-maker/water dispenser cover plate located on the freezer door, by: inserting a putty knife blade at the bottom and freeing up the two retainer tabs; then pushing up. (note: be careful pulling the cover plate, there are many electrical connections on the back).

2. Note the electrical connections on the back of the cover plate and locate the connect close to the inside of the freezer door and disconnect it. (Note: this is much easier than pulling each wire off its connection point and then having to remember which color coded wire went where).

3. Carefully work the door hinge pin back out to the right and remove it and the hinge (Note: in my case the pin was already half way out so the old door couldn't close - and since this model door had a heater which came on because the door was misaligned there was constant flow of warm upwards causing ice to melt, run down and re freeze thus making the door difficult to open).

4. Unscrew the single her head screw holding the small metal piece to the right that retains the know upon which the outer door frame turns. Move the frame to the right to free it and work it out if the way. You now have access to the ice-maker door and hinge pin assy.

I decided not to open the package containing the Control and motor asm because the old one looked like it was cycling properly. I chose to try the inlet valve first, so I ordered the inlet valve and returned this part unopened after replacing the valve asm. It took a week to receive this part and just two days to get the valve.

took out the old fill tube installed the new one and its working great. I really did not think that was going to be the problem thought it would be more than that but it was not. It took about 7min to change thanks for the fast shipping I will use you in the future.

My husband and I followed the instructional video on how to replace the "direct drive drum". We took note of how everything looked prior to dismantling the ice bin. We made sure we had the proper tools and a large flat surface to work on and started taking out the screws. Replaced the new drive drum part and put it all back together. The whole process took approximately 30 minutes and the ice crusher works great now. I'm a happy camper!!

Unplugged it for a day listened to the ice melting on the inside and plug it in again. Decreased the temperature settings and it now seems to work fine. I will save the part in case I ever need it in the future.

On the left side I unscrewed the screw and replace it with a new one . The right side in had to take s file and file of the rivet. You can use a rivet gun or a metal screw to replaced the clip. Once it is finish open the refrigerator door to see how to line the kick plate into the clip. A piece of cake.

I watched the ice maker installation video and I installed the new ice maker with no problem and was done in less the 30 min. with everything. The ice maker is working great. thank you Fred

Door cams were worn out. Removed food from door. Removed top hinge cover and hinge. Lifted door off lower hinge pin and placed door on a table. Removed old door cam and installed new one. Replaced closing cam on lower hinge. Set door back on lower hinge and closed door (magnetic strips hold the door in place). Reinstalled top hinge and replaced cover.

I receved the new ice maker and the only problem I had was getting the old ice maker plug disconected from the frig.

Ordered the part and within 8 minutes I had installed it without having to use any of the included wire harnesses. Was making ice within six hours. Well I have to say as a HVAC contractor for 32 years this was a very easy repair for me or anyone who is not a HVAC contractor such as myself. I always like to do a little research on any repairs that I have not performed myself and the instructions and video that was available on this web site was awesome. I did this repair in less them 15 minutes removing parts and reassembly of new part. I did let ice bin sit out for about 10 minutes after I removed ice to de thaw and reach room temperature to keep from cracking frozen plastic parts.The new ice auger drum was a very nice perfect fit and was made of a much better quality plastic then the OEM that was replaced. My mother was very pleased as I did this repair for her at her home and she watched me do the repair and she is 74 years old and she commented that she could have done this repair herself after watching me and she also watched video from this web site after I mentioned it to her. I would highly recommend that if anyone needs parts for there freezer or refrigerator to buy from this web site. The price was much lower then anyplace else I could find and it was shipped to my front door in less then 2 days. Watched the 'self-help' video on your website. Loosened the 3 sheetmetal screws,loosened the icemaker, unplugged the single connector and did the reverse order with the new icemaker. Very, very easy.

I watched the video showing how to disassemble unit and it showed that there was a heat element inside the chute door under the foam seal that needed to be removed and placed in side the new chute door. I spent about 10-15 minutes trying to salvage the element but the adhesive used would not release and the part was rendered unusable. I called the help line and was told that their instructions on that kit said the heating element was no longer required. I finished putting the kit in and the unit works fine

My Whirlpool refrigerator frezzer was not defrosting and the refrigator was not cooling. I followed the symptom parts advise (Defrost Timer Kit and the Bimetl-Def)of P/S. I pulled out the refrigerator from it inclosure and unpluged it, (note the shelf supports, the thinner ones are on the left side) I remove the shelfs and their supports,I removed the interior back cover of the frezzer, using a hair dryer I melted the frozen ice from the frezzer coile. Once all the ice was melted away, I cut off the old BIMETL-DEF and attacth the new BIMETL-DEF making sure the color wires are match correctly and using electrical connection plugs and electric tape I reconnected the wires. (2) I followed the video instruction for replacing the Defrost Timer Kit I found it to be quite easy to follow. The most deficult part was trying to position my body to remove the screws. I used an old CREDIT CARD to remove the face of the Refrigerator control buttons in order to access the compartment which house the Defrost Timer kit. I removed the old Defrost time kit and replaced it with the new one (following the Video instruction). I replace the frezzer cover inserting the lower four screws then using an old Credit Card I forced the top end of the frezzer cover under its retaing wall. I then replace the remaining two screws. JOB DONE

I took old pan out and put in new one it took 2 min. at most .
