Cracked Vegetable Pan
Made the order which came in a timely fashion. But the new pan was cracked. I immediagely called. The agent was friendly, personable, and helpful. She ordered a new pan, but it didn't come as it was supposed too. Yesterday I went to the barn and , yep, it was there! Why fedx put it there I don't know. But it is in good shape. Only complaint it that I have to keep the other part for 30 days to wait for notification whether they want it back or not! Otherwise very glad to have this issue solved.

Icemaker not making ice
Had a 1999 Kitchenaid Superba refrigerator that quit making ice. Based on online research, my icemaker's problem could have been either the icemaker itself or the dual water valve. I opted to try the icemaker replacement first after watching the helpful installation video. The only issue I had that made the repair the slightest bit difficult was that bolt-headed screws were used to secure the icemaker to the fridge wall rather than Phillips and the one nearest the door can't be seen while trying to loosen it. It only took an extra ten minutes to overcome this obstacle (maybe 20 minutes total). After replacing the icemaker, I thought the water valve must have been the problem after all since the unit did not immediately start filling with water. However, once the unit chilled down, it worked perfectly.

icemaker was leaking water into freezer compartment
Found the replacement icemaker I needed on your web site, ordered and recdeived it within 2 days. Watched the how to video and did the replacement in less than 5 minutes. However,I waited(2 days) for the icemaker to start working, it never did. Thinking there was another problem in the icemaking system, I contacted a local appliance repair shop. They checked the entire system and everything was ok except the new icemaker. Turns out the new icemaker was defective. I contacted PartSelect and reported the technicians findings. I had another new icemaker in 2 days again. I again installed the new one and am now making ice. Thank you for the installation video and the teriffic service.

compressor not running, fan running, frig/freezer not cold anymore
I removed the "bad" start relay parts (they basically fell apart in my hand when i removed it from the compressor). I got this troubleshootng info off the internet that helped me isolate exactly what was causing my problem. I followed the instructions that came with the new kit which arrived quickly to my home. The new parts were quite different from what i had removed. I installed the new parts according to the directions that came with the new kit. My frig & freezer worked normally. It sure was great hearing that compressor running again. I got this fixed in time for Thanksgiving dinner & saved quite a bit fixing this myself.

Continuous water filling Ice maker
First Shut off Water supply from wall/valve. Turned off Ice maker switch interior freezer compartment. Removed power cord from wall plug, important for safety due to close proximity of cooling fan to valve, and resets electrical cycle to new valve to start water flow to ice maker once replaced. Removed lower back cardboard access to frig with nut driver, cleaned all (dust-bunnies)from coils, drip pan and all areas under frig with shop vac. Remove 2 screws (same size nut as cardboard back) to remove valve bracket from mount. This model frig had push release connectors so was even easier than expected, push collars up and pull out tubing, (residual water came out so have towel handy) had new valve positioned exactly how would reinstall so just pushed water line into new valve connector, then repeated process for all 3 water lines. Last unplugged electrical connectors and plugged into new valve in same position. Reattached new valve to mount w/2 screws, turned on water supply to check connections for leaks. (Finding none) Plugged electrical cord back into wall, used water pitcher to cycle water thru door water dispenser, waited for first cycle of water to fill ice maker. So easy and quick. Thank you to previous people who gave directions, and Partselect for easy diagrams, ordering, and shipping quickly.

Ice make isn't filling due to frozen/plugged water line
Pull out the refridgerator from the wall. Unplug the fridge and turn off water supply. Remove the cardboard cover from the bottom of the back side of the fridge. The valve assembly is on the bottom right side of the the fridge when looking at the back. Remove the valve assembly. remove the color coded electrical connectors. Push in the quick disconnect fitting on the valves and gently pull the tubes out of each valve, if it won't come out you can cut the lines, just make sure they are nice and clean and straight. The new part was a perfect fit. Push the tubing in to the size matched valve inlets reconnect the electrical connections reattach valve assembly to the fridge, next open the freezer door and lift the ice make door and take you a hair dryer, turn it on and hold it about 1-2 inches away from the rubber hose that is used to fill the ice maker for about 2-3 minutes to remove the ice blockage. Once it is clear, turn on the water check for leaks and verify correct operation of water and ice. Reinstall the card board, push the fridge back into place. and enjoy a cool beverage and pat your self on the back cause you just fixed your ice maker!

Ice bin was broken where the ice is pushed out the front.
Very simple. Using only a screw driver removed all the screws and removed the front part of the ice bin. Then I removed the screw auger that pushes the ice out and reassembled every thing to the new ice bin.

Refrigerator door not staying closed.
The refrigerator door was not staying closed. Arriving home we found it open and not running. The compressor was off on thermal overload. In checking that and while cleaning the condenser I noticed the refrigerator door was 1/4" lower than the freezer. I saw how the door cams worked to keep the doors closed. The installation was easy. I blocked up the door. Removed the old cams using a small socket and installed the new. Door cams tool less than fifteen minutes.

Ice Chute Freezing Up
Removal of escutcheon was easy. Replacing icedoor was fairly easy, working with wires in the way was a little distracting but simple. Be careful with microswitches and locating pins. Two of mine broke, had to replace bracket. Simple job again. Everything working fine now. No ice jam in chute. Using needlenose pliers to remove/insert pin is the best and easiest option.
