Refrigerator stopped working
The refrigerator stopped working and temperatures were rising. After inspection, noticed that the compressor is not running and condenser fan not running. I ordered the inverter box and replaced the old one. Compressor started to run but condenser fan still not running. Compressor was getting hot while freezer temperature reduced to some degree. Cleaned condenser with compressed air, connected condenser fan directly to 110VAC. Refrigerator runs normally. Burning of the inverter box may be preventable. We did notice that the freezer portion of the door frame getting hot for over 3 months. This is an indication that the condenser does not provide sufficient heat dissipation. This in turn made the compressor hot and melted away some components in the inverter box which is located next to the compressor. A thorough cleaning of the condenser made the freezer door frame stay slightly warm but not hot. This condition keeps the compressor running at normal temperature. I still need the main controller which is discontinued to automatically control the condenser fan. So far the fan runs all the time and uses a bit more electricity than necessary.

Replaced icemaker
We were reluctant to replace the icemaker on a 10-year old refrigerator that required a leak to be patched 2 years ago, but since the patch seems to be holding, we went ahead with the icemaker. Was about the same price as buying a portable icemaker and who wants that sitting on the counter?

Ice maker failed to make and dispense ice.
Removed the broken icemaker. Removed the tray that is attached to the old icemaker and screwed it into the new icemaker. Then, I installed the new icemaker first by plugging in the control wires, then sliding the icemaker into the freezer, then screwing it into freezer. BY next morning, the icemaker made ice!

The plastic Ice Handle had broken after years of use
Your web site was great. There was a short step by step video on how to remove and replace the ice door kit and tools required. The only additional tool I used was Blue Tape so I could stabilize the inner control panel out of way onto Door.If I need more appliance parts I now know where I am ordering from!!

Had to completely remove the ice maker in order to install the replacement part
Sorry for delay in writing. Part I ordered arrived two days ago and it was exactly what I needed. Knowing that there will be problems even with the smallest job I procrastinated starting. When I did start this morning I foud I had to completely remove the ice maker and disassemble it in order to install the water fill cup bracket. The challenge was reassembling the unit. Not hard for an experienced repairman but a challenge for layman. Everything is thing is back to gether now and power on cooling down the refrigerator. Won't know how successful it was until turn on water and ice is formed. If it works this saved $75 just to get a Sears repairman to come out and tell me what would be needed to fix the refrigerator and $1,000 if I had to buy a new refrigerator. Extremely satisfied with service I received. Thank you.

couldnt use ice maker dispencer. ice melting and leaking
Removed (snap on)removed screw, and ice dispencer side (door and Pin) You have to assemble to reinstall (not easy to install while assembled) Install the pivot pin the rest of the way with the new spring mounted and when unit is almost in place, install the pivot the rest of the way, install tension hold downs that old both the water and ice dispenser shafts, reinstall cover, reconnect wiring and test, I had to remove the plunger because the water wouldn't shut off fast enough. Unit works great now.

I feel like McGyver!
Hi, this was an easy repair job. And, after I was done I felt like McGyver. It took me about 1 hour. The hardest part was getting ice maker's power source disconnected. That was tricky; you have to remove the housing that covers the power connector.

Whirlpool Gold Stainless Refrigrtator door doesn't stay closed
After our four year old refrigerator door wouldn't stay closed as a do it yourself kinda gal I found this website that assisted me in an easy and inexpensive fix. The "plastic" yes, "plastic" piece on the bottom of the door was worn down to nothing. My only suggestion is to call in your order, the customer service folks will help you order the right cam for your model. The next thing is to change both cams if you have a side by side. We changed the fridge side which fixed the problem, then realized the cam on the freezer needed to be changed to make it level. Great customer service!

Fan was makeing a lot of noise
I called the 800 number and the lady was great to work with and helped me thru all the order process and confirmed the numbers. She also told me she would try to get the order out that day which she did and I had the part two days later. When it arrived I went to the web site and reviewed the video and went to work and all went as the video said. Thanks for the help and if i need another part I will visit your site or call.

Power Surge fried the ice maker control boards.
I was ready to spend the $$$ on a repair person when my wife (smart woman) suggested I go on line to see if we can fix it ourselves. I (luckly) found your company and your website made it easy to find the right part plus as an extra bonus you had a video that showed how to switch out both control boards. To top it off, the package came so fast ( the next day - even with standard shipping ) I did not think it was the parts. 10 or so minutes with a Phillips screwdriver and we were back in business. THANK YOU ! ! ! !

The icemaker stopped working
Removed icemaker and installed the new one. Went from six tiny ice cubes to four big ice cubes. Ice is of a higher quality, and the ice no longer falls out of the bin as the old ice maker's ice had once been prone to doing. A certified epic win on my part.

Water leaking and freezing on the botton of the icemaker mold
Install was done in reverse order of uninstall. The only thing that made this install a bit tricky is that the fill cup on the replacement icemaker was not the same part as on the original. I could have attempted to trim the replacement fill cup but didn't know how well that would work. I instead elected to install the original fill cup onto the new icemaker. This added a bit of time and complexity to the repair but I followed a repair video for when just the ice mold is being replaced. That video told me how to disassemble the ice mold and timer motor which had to be done to in order to replace the fill cup. It's been about 2 weeks since repair was made and the icemaker seems to be working properly.

water dispenser tube leaking at bottom
TURN OFF WATER (if not already). Cut (or disconnect filler tube at bottom). Remove faceplate from refrigerator ice/water dispenser area. Remove screw holding metal bracket that holds water tube at filler point. Held metal mounting bracelet and pulled old filler tube out. Fed new filler tube thru bottom (hole is located at bottom of left door at hinge). As tube came out at top, pulled length needed to mount to new mounting bracket. Remounted new bracket (with hose attached) with new screw. Reconnected tube at bottom water line connection. Turn on water.
