10644254401 Kenmore Refrigerator - Instructions

Removed cardboard, Removed 4 bracket mounting screws, Removed plug, Removed screws securing motor to bracket. . Installed new motor on bracket, Installed fan on motor shaft , installed new pigtail on motor, Installed new assembled motor and bracket, Hooked up pigtail to electric supply, Installed cardboard, Plugged in to power supply and Voila, not even one foul word during the whole process. I replaced the thermometer first and it started working again. I was convinced that the reason that it continued to break every 6mos was because no one had ever replaced the fan. The difficult part was getting to it. After trying to get in from the front and from the back I finally figured out that I had to take the bottom off and tilt it on its side. I was then able to get out the pin in the condenser and move it to the side. I could then reach the screws that held in the fan. I then decided to put the fan on the motor and when I was tapping it on with a hammer the back cracked. I attempted to fix it by taking apart the old motor and salvaging the parts but that didn't work. I had to buy another $85 part and take the whole thing apart again. It was easier the second time because I knew which screws and pins I had to remove and how to get to them. I very, very carefully tapped the fan onto the motor and now it is working fine. I will let you know if it is still working at Easter. If it is I will have done a better job than the 7or 8 repairmen who have fixed it in the past

I went on line to find the symptoms for what I was experiencing and went to web and entered the "KSRA" alphas and this list came up. I followed the explanation on video and it was identical. Good stuff.

I removed the top door hinge cover, removed the top hinge, pulled the refrigerator door off, layed it on the floor, removed the door cams, installed the new door cams, replaced the doo and top hinge and hinge cover. If you have this problem with your refrigerator door, be sure to replace the upper and lower cam.

Repair was so simple, I didn't even need instructions. Removed old fan with motor, installed new one, installed harness that converted plugs, done. Saved hundreds of dollars doing the repair myself.

Removed to old motor by removing screws and disconnecting power source and replaced with the new motor and plugged back in power source

Using a 1/4" ratchet removed the old motor, a bit difficult due to small space to get your hand and ratchet in position. Before installing the new motor I used one of the screws to tap the the 3 holes in the new motor so it would be easier to start the screws attaching motor to mounting bracket. Attached cable. plugged in the fridge. Great to hear a quit running refrigerator again.

Took socket out and replace it with new one. Very easy. W saved alot of money doing it ourself.

I pulled the broken drawer out. I removed the screw in the existing stud with a phillips screw driver. I replaced that stud with the one I ordered and the new screw that came with it and I slid in the new drawer. Very easy. In fact the most difficult part was finding this website, but I've book marked it just in case I need more parts in the future. Thanks for the clearly marked photos on the website so I knew exactly what to order and for the quick delivery of my parts!

The customer service people did some cross checking and found a shelf and drawer that would work in my fridge. It did!! I love it now!!!Thanks for your help I did have to remove one of the selves - but now I have an extra!

Package came in two days.I opened the box ,took the old draw out and slid the new draw in. Fixed in less than two minutes.I would definitely order from Parts Select again. Thanks for the prompt service

Watched the video provided, then followed that procedure. Everything now works fine, no more clicking.

Before I began I unplugged the electrical at the wall outlet. 1. Unscrewed the 4 mounting screws. 2. disconnected electrical at the motor. 3. removed the assembly. 4. mounted the new motor on the assembly as described in the instructions. Installed the assembly and reconnected the electrical. Works great, easy job!

I took out the old drawer and inserted the new drawer in the same place! I wish all of life were that easy!
