Ice Maker stopped making ice

I removed a few items from the freezer to make room. Husband took out the old ice maker. (We were sure it would require moving the refrigerator out which would have been a huge undertaking given the tight fit) To start he simply replaced the ice maker with the new one. I started watching...and even though it says that it will take up to 24 hours to make ice, it began making ice probably within an hour! After about 6 batches, I threw those out. (just in case there was anything in the line that would contaminate the cubes)It is obvious that the old one had not worked properly for a long time! The ice container is full to almost over-flowing! It has not been this full in a very long time, as I use ice every day! Simple fix! And might I add...LIGHTNING FAST DELIVERY!! It was here in two days! We are thrilled!!!!!

ICE MAKER FAILED

I watched your repair video, read the instruction enclosed with the icemaker and made the repair in about 15-20 minutes. There is an issue that others need to be aware of once the water pump is repaced and the tubing is connected and the icemaker is installed and turned back on; it take 20-30 minutes to pump the air out of the line and the for the water to actually fill the the fill tray (you made the install correctly, the delay in filling is not covered by either the video or the book just be patience don't disconnect and reconnect anything it will eventually fill and make ice and less than 48 hours). This vendor offers 4 star customer service at a fair and resonable price (I priced the parts separately prior to purchase and the kit is the way to go). I received the product within 3 days, shipped groung delivery. I would use your products and online service advice for installation on other appliances in the future if needed. You have earned my trust, and repeat business in the future; and I will gladly recommend you to others. Your customer focus and service is second to none. I am a fully satisfied customer!!Sincerely, A. Walker

Refrigerator door not closing on its own

  • Customer: Kenneth A from Greeley CO
  • Difficulty: Really easy
  • Time to Complete: 15 - 30 mins
  • Tools Required: Nutdriver, Screw drivers

Remove all items from door. Remove bolt holding plastic cover on top hinge. Support door and remove 3 bolts holding hinge. Lift door off lower hinge pin. Remove bolt holding both cam assy's and pry the one on the door out with the screwdriver. Replace both with the new cams, place door on lower hinge pin, place upper hinge pin into door, loosely insert the 3 bolts. Align the door, tighten the 3 bolts and replace plastic cap/bolt. Put the food back in the door and you're done. The only nut-driver needed is 5/16" and the screwdriver is only needed to pry out the cam that's located on the door itself.

Fridge and freezer were warm.

The evaporator gan motor would work sometimes, but not always, so it took a while to be sure this was the problem. First ruled out thermostat and defrost timer. Also observed build up of ice on coils, so I knew compressor was working. Once I isolated problem to evaporator fan ( by observing stuck once, and seeing how it didn't spin freely) replacement was easy. In fact, since we were able to keep the unit running by watching the old fan and ensuring it was working while waiting for the new one to arrive, I was able to swap them out, plug unit back in and start it up before the ice in the bin even had time to melt! This repair saved me hundreds in repairs, and even more if I had to buy a new fridge, because the new units are too tall for my kitchen space.
