This part is commonly known to cause a leak at the top left corner of the outer tub. It fits over the injector nozzle. It is black in color and measures approximately 2 inches in length. To access this part, you will need to remove the front panel of your washer. There will be 2 screws holding it in place. Once these have been removed, the top will pivot to open, which will give you access to the injector assembly. This is an OEM part that comes right from the manufacturer and is sold individually.

Front load washing machine leaking on floor while in fill mode.
Removed two screws at bottom of front panel and then removed front panel. Then removed two self-tapping bolts (one on each side) holding top panel in place and swung the panel up, out of the way, to expose top of tub and water injection components. Cut off one pinch clamp and loosened screw clamp holding two injector hoses to the injector sleeve. Removed these water injector hoses from injector sleeve assembly which is mounted on top of left side panel upper flange. Replaced deteriorated rubber injector valve, nozzle and the sleeve for the injector (plastic housing containing the injector valve and nozzle). Also replaced deteriorated injector tube seal where injector tube elbow mounts to top of tub assembly. Reinstalled injector hoses with a replacement screw clamp to replace the one cut off. tightened the new clamp and the other, original, screw clamp and checked for leaks. This solved the leakage problem. Secured top panel and re-installed front panel. Hardest part of the task was determining where the leak emanated from but once found and parts ordered, it was a relative snap to fix. Read more...

PartSelect Number PS11738878
Manufacturer Part Number WP213015
The plastic injector nozzle is used in washers and dryers. It is 3 inches long and is white in color. If your washer is leaking water, replacing the nozzle could solve your problem. For this repair project, you will need a 1/4 nut driver, 3/8 socket with extension, and a stubby Phillips screwdriver. To begin the repair, first remove the front panel by removing screws from the bottom end of both sides. Next, locate the two bolts in the interior of front panel and remove both. Pull bleach dispenser hose off before removing the top cover of washer. Remove clamp that holds the hose to the valve assembly to access the nozzle inside rubber valve and replace with new nozzle. Refer to the instructions provided by the manufacturer for further guidance.

Maytag Washer Water Inlet Hose
★★★★★
★★★★★
6 Reviews
PartSelect Number PS11741209
Manufacturer Part Number WP3357328
This part is the replacement water inlet hose for your washer. It is black in color, made of plastic, and is approximately 19 inches long. The water inlet hose connects the water inlet valve to the water fill nozzle. Over time the hose can become cracked and damaged, and this can cause it to leak. A damaged hose will need to be replaced. Be sure to disconnect the water supply to the washer before you begin this repair. You should also determine if any of the other parts that transport water into the washer are leaking, and if they need to be repaired as well. This part is sold individually and is a genuine OEM part.

Cold water flowed slowly
First, be sure to take the washer apart properly! The first time I fixed my washer I took it apart the hard way to change the clutch, and believe me it took longer to put it back together!
This time I was replacing both the water inlet valve and the hose leading to the disperser.
First remove the two screws holding down the control panel. It then flips back and hangs out of the way behind the washer. Then remove the spring-clip holding the rear plate to the body of the washer, one on each side under the control panel.
Next you need to remove the screws holding the body down to the base at the rear of the machine.
I then tipped the body of the washer forward and let it rest on a bucket so I didn't have to take it completely off. Then it is easy to access the hose and the water inlet valve. Shut off the water and remove the supply hoses to the washer. Remove the two screws holding the water inlet valve to the rear of the washer using a nut driver. Next remove the wires to teh inlet valve, making sure to note which one is cold and hot, and which orientation they are. Mine was yellow on top and brown on bottom. Next remove the springs clamps holding the hose on. Replace the hose re-using the same clamps. Replace the water inlet valve reverse the process to re-assemble the washer. Tilt the body back on, put the screws in the base, clamp the back to the body, flip the contorl panel back over and insert the screws. Reattach the water supply lines and you are done!

The water intake hose had a hole and was leaking. I think a rat chewed it.
I first watched a YouTube video on how to open up the machine. It was a breeze. I removed the part the hose attaches to where the water comes out and into the tub. The hardest part was removing the old hose clamps. Had I known I would have used new clamps. I took off old hose and replaced with the new one, it took longer because of the clamp issue. Otherwise it went fairly easy, to my surprise. Even tho I am a 70 yr old woman I will try to fix what I can. Doing this saved me at least $600. For a new washing machine. I'm so proud of myself. Loosened clamp on injection hose at water valve and pulled hose from valve. Twisted other end of injection line counter-clockwise to loosen from tub and removed line. Installed new line in reverse order, but left off front cover to watch for leaks. Ran washer while watching through opening in front. When I confirmed no leaks, then replaced front cover. Leaking water
Well, I found the washer leaking water from the bottom a couple weeks ago. I finally got around to pulling off the front panel and ran a couple cycles to see where the water was coming from. Turns out the leak was at the plastic pump that does the draining after wash and rinse.

So I got the model number and googled online. I found Partselect and they had every part I needed. Took me 10 minutes online to find the parts for my specific washer. I couldn't believe how easy it was. Parts came in two days...and this was right before Xmas.

Anyways, changing out the pump was simple. Took 5 minutes to get it off and put the new one in. I decided to change the hoses and elbow siphon break as well while I had the thing apart as those parts were old...but still working well.

Got the washer back together and the floor is dry as a bone. Perfect repair, really easy to do. Hardest part was figuring out how to get the front panel off.
