As an online home repair resource, we are passionate about DIY. A few years back we decided to put together a list of our favorite DIY sites - carefully selecting the best of the best and narrowing them down to a list of the top ten. What started as a go-to reference list quickly turned into one of our most popular publications ever and still remains a great guide today. Some time has passed since we first created that list and as they do, things have been a changin’. We decided it was high time to update the list and the second edition of the Most Popular DIY Sites was born.
You may notice we’ve included blogs in our list this time around - do it yourselfer’s have taken the blogosphere by storm over the past few years and no resource list would be complete without them. We also hung on to a few sites from our original list that have kept up with the times! Without further adieu we present, in no particular order, the Most Popular DIY Sites - Second Edition.

DIY Network is like the old faithful of the DIY world. These DIY guru’s share their vast knowledge on doing it yourself with projects, tips and advice. You’ll find a large community of viewers, just like you, who share videos and pictures. Some of the show hosts have blogs where they share ideas that might not have made it to air.

Pros and everyday do-it-yourselfers share tips and advice in a wide variety of home and lifestyle related topics. If you’ve never visited Apartment Therapy, you better carve some time off your schedule and settle in for a nice long visit, with four sister sites and a host of different visions. Whether it’s inspiration, encouragement, ideas or assistance that you need, you’ll find it all on Apartment Therapy, along with a whole set of other stuff you didn’t even know existed. It really is the mecca of all things house and home.

TipNut is yet another blog we’re not sure we could live without. While many of our favorites focus solely on home improvement and repair, TipNut covers a huge range of topics from the DIY world, including cleaning tips, craft patterns, project ideas, reference materials and more.
If you’re at all involved in DIY or even considering taking the plunge, there are a few other sites you should keep in mind. Some of them, like YouTube, aren’t dedicated solely to do it yourselfers, but can be a really great resource when it comes to certain projects.
These are just a few of our favorite DIY sites - there are plenty more out there that can be really useful depending on the project you’re taking on.
