Removed interior panel from door, disconnected two sets of connector wires from door latch switches on both sides, removed interior electric motherboard box and left wires for this connected. This allows you to remove the 4 screws that hold the top control panel and take this out to change the latch on a bench. The reason I did this is to allow me to use the old ABS plastic handle and melt new holders onto the inside of the front control panel assembly, melt black ABS to ABS plastic around the previously broken tabs molded onto the surface of the front control panel. I was going to purchase a new front control panel but there is no need to since it is now repaired. Reinstalled front panel with latch/ switch assembly attached to it, then rescrewed the motherboard control box to the panel, put wire connectors back onto the latch switches, reinstalled the inside panel and put in the screws around it. Works like new now for $25 compared to over $100 it would have cost me.
