After taking the agitator cover off with a thin flat screwdriver, i unbolted the agitator, took the top agitator off and put the new dogs in the new cam. One minor problem: due to the age, the rubber washer around the bolt fell apart. Had to make an unexpected trip to the hardware store, but no biggie. Unbolting the agitator was a bit of a challenge by myself, as I had to put significant force to the nut while holding the agitator from spinning. Once i got it loose, came right up and out. When reinstalling, you have to watch to make sure the dogs don't fall out of the cam, but after a couple tries, it went on, got tight, and no problems. Now its running great.
