We first turned the refrigerator off then we removed all the shelfs, the back paneling and the ice maker. Made our way to the frig side following the wiring and unhooked the temperater control in the frig. We then proceeded to unplug the old harness and plug in the new harness as we went as to make sure we did not forget where things went. Made sure all was plugged in before putting the ice maker back in , screwing the paneling on, and putting the shelfs back in. Turned the frig on watch it over night to make sure all was well before putting ouf freezer items back in.
P.S. During the waiting time to receive the part we were able to use the frig side. Once we found out that this was all due to the defrost cycle not working we just needed to every day unplug the frig and use a blow dryer to melt the frost and we were okay to use the frig side.
