Knob broke off on washer
The old knob must have lost some teeth, and when it was pulled out to start the washer, instead, it came right off. Looking at the helpful diagrams on PartSelect.com, I quickly figured out what part I needed to order. It arrived within two days! I took off what was left of the old knob by twisting it counterclockwise, basically unscrewing it, as it is held on by a long threaded bolt. The new knob went on by simply screwing it into place until it started to catch ,and turned the entire dial . It was incredibly easy.

Does this part include the screw inside? The screw and plastic parts have both broken.

Hello Erin, Thank you for your inquiry. This part screws onto the shaft of the timer. It is just the plastic knob, if you are looking for the shaft it screws onto, you would need to order the timer. Hope this helps!
