I removed the fabric softener dispenser, removed the cover under the dispenser, exposing the bolt that holds the agitator in place. Removed the bolt and then lifted out the agitator.
The top of the agitator had four four fingers with teeth that were completely worn off. The kit included new fingers and the ring assembly that holds the fingers in place. I popped the new fingers into the ring, replaced the old ring with the new one, and put the agitator back into the machine.
The repair was quick and simple. Everything was included in the kit (except for a small amount of lube needed for the new O-ring seal). It took me longer to find the silicone lube in my tool box than to do the repair!
The washer is back to normal and working great.
