I watched the video while the part warmed up. Now its time to start. I kepted the video on the computer screen just in case. I took my time and about 30 min I was making ice again. Lost all power except light bulbs.
For the Main Control board: I took pictures of connectors and matched them to same numbered connectors on the new board, but it's hard to get it wrong, really. Since the old board zapped a hole right through the plastic sheet behind it, I made a new one with the original as a template. For the ice auger, I left the blades on the old, brok
... Read moreen one til I was ready to swap them to the new one to keep them in order, and used a new nut though the old one probably would have still worked. The clear crusher cover plate does wiggle on the auger assembly, blades and all. Just be sure to take pictures to remember how it all goes together. The trickiest part is removing the crusher assembly without breaking plastic--only use just enough force to release the claws. You'll have to at least partly take apart the rod pieces underneath. I cleaned everything with warm, dish soap water and some white vinegar mixed in. Some parts I put in the dishwasher. This a good time to clean the entire frig, too. You may want to also have new water line connector hardware on hand, too, just in case it gets damaged/leaks if disconnected and reconnected for servicing. Always unplug the frig first to start. I used a small, indoor/outdoor temperature device to check the freezer and frig temps to check when done to make sure it worked. Finally, it really, really helped having a "loaner" frig during this time!
look very carefully at the picture you provided in the parts fish, removed the ice maker tray and the rest was very easy ,i saved alot of money and time doing it myself.
Your video on this procedure is excellent and cannot be improved upon by my experience.

Ice maker stopped working, ice falling out of the bucket
Ice maker replacement was pretty simple. The most difficult part was detaching the electrical plug from the refrigerator. The two tabs on the side are a little difficult to pop out of the way. no ice crush
removed the the crush cover and puty the new parts loose 2 screws easy
Turned off, then removed the ice maker from the freezer and followed the instructions on the video at PartSelect. Installation was very straight forward and exactly as shown on the video. It took longer to empty and dry out the ice maker than the repair. Slid the ice maker back into the freezer and turned it on. Works just like new.
I watched the "how-to" video on the website and decided that I needed to disassemble the icemaker first (before ordering parts) so that I could make sure I was ordering all the parts necessary for a complete repair. ... Read moreecessary parts. When they arrived 2 days later, I set up a table near my computer so I could re-assemble the unit as I watched the repair video...pausing the video as necessary. It all went without a hitch and worked perfectly when re-installed in the freezer. **Note: I left the old parts out of the ice bucket while I was waiting for the new ones to arrive...taped up the gaping holes in the ice bucket with blue painter's masking tape and re-installed the bucket in the freezer with the icemaker on...so I could still manually retrieve ice out of the bucket. I left the switch on the front of the freezer door in the "water" position to remind me that I couldn't dispense ice. Water dispensing worked fine. The video is the key. Impossible to make a mistake if you pay attention.

My dispenser crusher cover.Somehow cracked in two places, and the auger blades got caught on the cracked edge and pretty much seized the auger's movement. I have disassembled the bucket, repaired (glued) the dispenser crusher cover, and re-assembled the unit and it works ok. Only problem now is the motor which drives the auger's rotation is now making a very labored sound and I suspect the experience of being seized on the cover may have stressed the motor. Is that motor a replaceable part?

My ice maker crusher cover is metal and it had rusted. When i dispense ice i get rust chips in my glass. Would this solve the problem? Would i need a whole new bucket?

Not sure what the replacement part is called that i need :) its the small cover on the bottom of the icemaker that maybe is the guide area where it dispenses into the door??
our problem is the opening in door where the ice flows through stay iced over all the time & no ice unless we scrap it out :( :(

The answer you provided was for the plastic part that cracked, not the motor which drives the auger. Is the motor that drives the auger replaceable?
