First I removed the 4 screws on top of the control panel. I then pulled the center part of the timer knob off. Next I removed the clip that holds the outer timer knob on. Then slide the outer knob off. This exposes the 2 bolts that hold the timer in place. after removing these 2 bolts I unpluged the wiring harness. Then I reversed the procedure to install the new timer. This all took about 5 or 6 minutes.
