I followed another customer's advice and covered the interior of the dishwasher with a towel--and a good thing, because I did drop one of the small parts! I seated a flashlight in the upper rack, unclipped the top of the wash tower, placed the larger of the two connector parts through the bottom of the wash arm (openings facing down) and into the tower, then snapped the smaller connector part on. Clipped the tower arm back up and was done in less than 2 minutes. FYI--I couldn't figure out how to remove the upper rack (there's no instructions in the user manual) but really didn't need to after all and it was helpful for holding the flashlight.
