My goal was two part: 1) eliminate the root cause of the problem, 2) make the unit work properly over the long term. A new dishwasher would cost $1200. Hence, it is economically justifiable to replace all the electronics which I did. The cost was $350 to restore the unit to operating like new elimnating whatever piece that would cause the electronic control board to malfunction. The repair was easy. It took me more time because I am meticulous and had not done this before. Now that I have done this the repair time would be reduced by half. Once the door panel was removed the method for changing all the parts was apparent.
