Took the hood off the washer, disconected the power center(timer knobs and stuff)....looked at the bottom of the whole thing.....found the motor, disconnected it from the transmission, once that happened the broken piece fell out. i then ordered the new part at, then I put the new part in....very easy...put it all back together the way it came apart.......hardest thing was the hood of the washer getting it all lined back up
